A friend of mine is having a blessingway. I have never made beads before, and at first thought I should borrow some clay from my sister... In the end, though, I chose to work with what I have. Pyrography on wooden beads.
The beads read: "Calm" "Gentle Strength" "Breathe" and "Life"
I snagged this picture from *red's (Tracie's) camera off of facebook... I just wanted a picture of Abbie and I, and I haven't taken any. I am so blessed by the West family, it is unbelievable how they have taken me in, and made me almost one of their own. They are now my second family and I cherish the relationship I have with them. For example, *red purchased this pro account for me because she wanted to encourage my creative side :) It feels wrong even being paid for tutoring Abbie a couple hours a week. She is like my other littler sister. The West family is a blessing that I cannot put into words.

This is a Tibetan blessing where the priest sprinkles water on the people. Reminded me of the way Presbyterians do baptism. Though I do not know if the Tibetan ritual has to do with purification. But if I had to take an educated guess, that would be my first choice. This is courtesy of the "no look" photography technique that I am working on. Pics turn out more candid this way. :) This was taken at the Barkhor in Lhasa, Tibet.

The first edition of the Bhakti Yoga Festival was held in Verona on 26 October at the Verona Fiere Congress Centre. Almost 3000 people were able to receive the Master's blessing, experiencing a festive day of OM Chanting circles, talks with the Swamis, stands, and vegetarian food.
In Verona, Guruji met the sangha at the Vitthal Anuraga temple and then travelled to Susegana and Bolzano where He held long satsangs, sang bhajans with those present, and shared unforgettable moments.
Milan and Turin were the next stops. At the Sri Radharani Dham temple in Milan, devotees were able to celebrate abishekam at the Master's feet and listen to a long satsang, ending with bhajans and initiations. In Turin, Guruji visited the private Sri Sri Daridrya Nasinyai Dham temple and then the Golden Lotus where He inaugurated the Shubhekshanah Vithala Mandiram Temple.
Next was Catania, with the first darshan in Sicily, on Sunday 3 November, at the Villa d'Itria hotel where almost a thousand people received Guruji's blessing. The tour continued to Palermo, Bari and also to Naples, where Guruji held a long satsang, celebrated a yajna and blessed a large murti of Lord Shiva.
The Sangha Tour ended at the Vitthala-Kshetra Ashram with a beautiful darshan with over a thousand participants.
Over 1700 new people received Guruji's darshan for the first time thanks to the work of the whole Italian sangha!

I had gone into my "zone" and was passionately working on this painting, when the power went out. My studio is an awesome place to be, until the air conditioning stops. Then it becomes an oppressive, heat filled room, where I can barely think. Forced to stop, I decided to start again fresh in the morning. When I came back into the studio the following morning and looked at the painting on my easel, I realized in amazement that all that was needed was one last stroke to finish. The power outage was indeed a "Blessing" in disguise!
