In the shadows of the Uppsala catherdral (Domkyrka) lies the Helga Trefaldighets (Holy Trinity) kyrka. We happened upon it when seeking shelter from the rain. This is a gem often overlooked. What a plesant surprise to find a host of angels painted on the ceiling to watch over us during the storm.

The Blessing of the Animals service recognizes that the animals with whom
we share this planet are important to us, to God, and we are blessed by their
presence in our lives.
~~I tried to find the perfect poem to write down with this and it has escaped my eyes. So I will just ramble a bit.
I love the lovely soft colors this has in it...full of smiles if you let come. I suppose it's how we individually look at , whether it be color, crop, detail, softness, form...it all filters thru our each rose colored glasses of experience that makes each one of us different, our outlooks, all a different shade from the next. A different glass to portray thru.
I see these as dragonfly blessing...funny huh...but there were so many dragonfly’s around these flowers (which are is water/the lake) the I imagine them seeing their beauty and appreciating every peddle of color and resting spot that they give them.
See how the flame is going down??That is my little minx Oliver.He spent the entire meal trying to blow it out!
Blessings for the Solstice and in the new year. (drawn in snow on the top of a favourite knoll where I go to view the setting sun and rising moon)
On older doors will write some blessing words like family be blessed hope, many sons and grandsons, safe and healthy, and so on.
A patch I made for the blessingway of a special woman. About 35 woman are each making a patch to be sewn together to make a blessing birth blanket.
