那一刻,從觀景窗裡看到的感動無法言喻,

逆著光,感謝這午後大大的驚喜!

Take nothing but pictures.

Leave nothing but footprints.

Kill nothing but time.

This is another picture with the sunset from January 1rst. Just before I decided to go home. About 3km on foot but was worth the effort.

Thank you for your comments and favs on my previous post. It's in Explore now.

Klosterplatz at St. Gallen, Switzerland

The heating boiler of diesel hydraulic locomotive No. D1010 Western Campaigner is steaming well as she waits to depart from London Paddington with the "Western Requiem Relief" railtour on Sunday 13th February 1977. I didn't record the identity of the Class 31 locomotive at the next platform, or at least I haven't located the notes that might give the answer.

The "Western Requiem" railtour, which would run over the same route the following Sunday, had been so heavily oversubscribed that the organisers were able to fill this extra excursion. The train travelled to Wales via Gloucester and made visits to Treherbert, Merthyr and Aberdare before returning to London.

I have identified at least a couple more shots from this railtour that might be worth sharing, so these may appear in due course. I previously shared this one in April 2012.

HWW! The morning sky changes so rapidly, here is one of three fleeting views from my living room this morning.

Thanks for visiting, stay healthy and make the most of life.

Yesterday, I had the utmost pleasure of finally graduating at The University of Sheffield, with a 2:1 Honours MEng in Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering.

First and foremost, I cannot thank my parents enough for their financial support and moral encouragement throughout the eighteen years of being a student, filled with many ups and downs. You have my utmost gratitude and no words I could say could show you how much you mean to me.

Next, my siblings, my truest confidants, and my backbone, who mean the world to me. I love you with all my heart.

My friends, near and far, close comrades and mere acquaintances. It has been an honour to have you in my life, painting the ever-growing mural of friendship one memory at a time. It has truly been a roller coaster and I am thankful you shared this ride with me. And special thanks go to my many lecturers and teachers, whose efforts and tireless dedication have helped craft my very consciousness.

And last, but certainly not least, to Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful, for humbling me with his generosity and blessing me with the opportunities I have seized.

I am truly blessed.

It is just a cloudy sunset where the city seems to be blessed by God!

Very nice week to everyone!

And into the forest I go... to lose my mind and find my soul.

Melbourne has been blessed with some beautiful, sunny days this winter, which has made going for a suburban stroll a delight.

The other day I noticed the magnolias are starting to explode into a profusion of pink and purple fragrant blooms. This particular magnolia is a Saucer Magnolia or Chinese Magnolia.

Looking around me, I did wonder if we won't get an early spring this year, however the weather today was very cold with a dusting of snow in some areas.

Magnolia is a large genus of over two hundred flowering plant species. It is named after French botanist Pierre Magnol (1638 - 1715). Magnolia is an ancient genus. Appearing before bees did, the flowers are theorized to have evolved to encourage pollination by beetles.

My 91 year old Father In Law with his two great grandbabies. Feeling very blessed on this Thanksgiving Day with my whole family under one roof.

Each part of the reliquary has the following symbolism:

The cross-shaped with rope-design symbolizes the ropes that bound Fr. Jerzy’s hands and feet. It was formed into a cross; Fr. Jerzy was born on the Feast of the Triumph of the Cross. He would prove to be a super strong catalyst in bringing about the Triumph of the Cross in Poland, six years after his Martyrdom. Blessed John Paul II, referring to Fr. Jerzy, said: “May good arise from this death like the Resurrection from the Cross”.

The oval frame symbolizes the gag that was placed by the abductors on the mouth of Fr. Jerzy so that "he won't bark anymore". The floral design of the oval frame symbolizes the message of Fr. Jerzy, “a voice that could not be silenced” (Kotański, J.).

The red stones symbolize 3 things: first, the stones that were tied to Fr. Jery’s legs; second, his blood (red); and third, the symbol of the 4 Gospels that he adhered till the end.

The silver and red colors symbolizes the color of the flag of Poland and also the vocation of Bl. Jerzy: priest (white/silver) and martyr (red)

The brown wooden stem of the reliquary symbolizes the wooden club that was used to beat Fr. Jerzy.

The color brown symbolizes Fr. Jerzy’s involvement in the Solidarity Movement.

The oval wooden base symbolizes Poland, the beloved Fatherland of Bl. Jerzy. He said: “Our Fatherland and respect of human dignity must be the common objective for reconciliation. You must unite in reconciliation in the spirit of love, but also in the spirit of justice.”

My favourite place at the moment, Skipwith Common. The scenery changes so much, especially when viewed from the air.
