As we look ahead to the New Year I reflect on 2021 and say "Thank You" for all the blessings in our lives this year.

We were so blessed today. Our Flickr friend, John, met us and then took us on the most enjoyable outing you can image.
We saw Cobh's old gothic church, we rode the ferry, we visited a castle up for sale, and we found one of the best graveyards ever.
But only after the funniest seek-and-find adventure.
It's a good thing that John is so patient, and he is such a good driver because between one-way streets, and a 1/2 dozen different sets of directions, John did manage to get us to the Clonmel (Old Church) cemetery.
There was no end to laughter as we went against all male instincts, and pulled over one likely Cobh citizen after another.
"Sorry," John would say (they don't say, "Excuse me" or "Pardon me" in Ireland -- they say, "Sorry.") And then the three of us would listen to the directions to the cemetery from yet another person.
It became a comedy of errors. Ask for help, listen to a convoluted set of directions, try to follow them and not be stymied by one-way streets, fail, and then stop another person.
If you are ever in Cobh, look John up. Terrific guy! And I am not just saying that!
