Back in October I spent a few of our last minutes at the zoo watching Asha the lioness as the sun dipped down.
Much to my joy she had a little something to show us..... introducing the male lion cub Chakra - 4 weeks old here
I couldn't decide which pics to post as i liked so many of them, so i've decided to post them all, a couple at a time and i may even make a little video clip from them in the end.

"karuninchu mary maata... " is what I remember seeing this pic :-D. I do not know if she's Virgin Mary or somebody else, but the woman was so intensely gazing at the statue as though she's having a dialogue with the statue. There were many such scenes at the cathedral, but i guess i "missed the bus" by not making the best of the pictures from those scenes. A faster lens could have helped, may be!

Activity ,every chinese lunal year of Jan 15,the十分town took place the beautiful flying lamps festival to celebrate ,many tourist include photographers came here to join the romatic activity, they wrote many luck words on lamps and light them up to the sky to bless,very meaningful
,and the scenery of all the lamps rised up to the sky that was so beautiful
L'Institution Notre Dame ou Hôpital de la Croix Rouge N°8 pendant la Première Guerre Mondiale était situé au 58, Rue Commandant Prat.
Lors de l’éclatement de la Première Guerre Mondiale, les services de santé de l’armée et l’association de la Croix-Rouge sont prêts à accueillir les blessés de guerre.
Castres installe son hôpital auxiliaire dans le couvent Notre-Dame, c’est l’hôpital auxiliaire n°8, géré par M. Prades et le Dr Jean Paulin. La structure compte trente-quatre lits à partir du 8 septembre 1914, et le nombre de lits sera multiplié par trois vu l’affluence de blessés revenant du front.
De nos jours, une partie du Bâtiment a été conservée.
Il s'agit de la partie centrale du Lycée Professionnel Anne-Veaute.
Cette carte postale nous montre l'ancienne entrée principale avec quelques blessés et employés du service médical.
De nos jours, cette entrée a disparue mais nous pouvons toujours la deviner sur ce qui est aujourd'hui la partie centrale arrière du Lycée Professionnel Anne-Veaute.
