First cows, then globes, then a giant red ball. The latest public sculpture to roll through Chicago is J. Seward Johnson's humongous, 25 foot tall sculptural replica of Grant Wood's "American Gothic" painting. With this sculpture, entitled "God Bless America", Johnson (one of the Johnson & Johnson Johnson's) is trying to remind Americans of their down home values in this hyped-up world.

22 juillet 2013 : une manif des Frères se dirige vers l'ambassade US, très proche de TaHrir. Des hommes tirent sur les anti Morsi à l'aide de fusils à pompe et vraisemblablement d'autres armes. Les Anti-Morsi décident alors de repousser les pro Morsi sur la corniche, la route qui longe le Nil. Les combats sont violents : feux d'artifice, pistolets bricolés à l'aide de tubes en métal, pistolets à air comprimé, fusils à pompe, pierre... Au fur et à mesure des charges et retraites, les Frères sont repoussés. La police assiste pendant un long moment au spectacle sans bouger, puis se joint aux anti-Morsi, se contentant toutefois de tirer quelques lacrymos et laissant les deux camps s'entretuer. FInalement, les pro Morsi battent en retraite. Du côté des anti Morsi, beaucoup de blessés, surtout par des plombs voire des balles, et semble-t-il trois morts.
