Dimple normal map shader @50% Mixed with Ceramic shader
Mostly works some difference between the dimple map colour & white ceramic but for the most part it looks right in the image.
Its rough and really needs a bunch of work to make it more even. A round UV on a square texture does not really work.
The Dimple texture gave me grief for a good bit just to get it to work.
"Colour Management" under "" Tab, Set to "Display Device: None" to get rid of that overbrighting of the Normal map bake. This drove me mad for a good chunk. A small rim on the dimples to blur the edges bought it back and I just said F'it as the dimples blended better to the ceramic.
Edge of saucer is too sharp as its a solidified plane and the bevel is not working right.
Forgot to upgrade the HDRI when rendering for the Daily3D image. Still works away though.

Still technically not finished as its doing my head in to try for a aircraft style skin on the body over a pipe frame.
Did a basic ice track as I don't really know what the hell they are constructed like.
I will get around to doing this again but I need flow and today is lacking in it.

Made a Cavity block. Its 215x440mm which is a 9" block, and has the end notch and the rounded shrunken section to the bottom or top depending on how you you it.
It came out OK, not quite what i was looking for, it matches more the older blocks we have vs the newer ones I bought. New ones are sharper and flatter, this looks more weather worn but the colour of new concrete.
Need to figure out hot to flatten the tips of the stones to mach new from mould look. not sure on the shape for the holes as old and new are different. The older blocks have a smaller hole while the new ones are bigger as that saves them material. Will see what I can do with it, smaller would suit my design use but some remeshing or dimension changes required due to limits.
Idea is image with Snoz having a hidey hole in the cavity block or 2 for comfort. Got the idea as we have a wood or field mouse across the way living quite happily for himself in the cavity block wall. Mice are 1:18 (Borrower) scale not the 1:12 I am using but I think the hidey hole idea is doable.

A USB 3.0 Powered 7 Port hub with switches which is my favourite kind as you can just turn off the stuff you are not using rather than having to unplug them all the time.

Basic items for a board game.
The die gave me serious grief when smooth shaded, so had to turn it down to 15.9°. The thing is divided to 9 a saide and has sphered inserts as die holes.
Game pieces use random colour texture which is new.
POV: A day filled with love, good conversations, and memories in the making. Family, friends, and new beginnings — what more could we ask for? 💛

Tape Measure based upon one bought from Tesco along side a pencil upon a cutting mat.
Strange shadow shows only in the render, nothing in visible mesh that would showup I can see.

An idea to make a bed for the mini 1:12 Humans using Ice cream sticks. Edging with the scoop sticks to get a bit of design to it and the plastic bead pins to give design. Might be a bit much but they would work to hold the thing together as joined in the middle.
about 180x60mm.
Need to work some more on it to think of some thing to make it more usable.
Texture are all axis limited so multiple mapped versions so it looks more reasonable.

Weighting Scale based upon the one I have been using for years. Missing its cover but its still good enough for eggs.
Not happy with the base edge as no bevel and the rule is everything has bevels as no sharp edges in nature except for diamonds. Had to use a edge split modifier to fix the damage to shading the bools fr the buttons did. Display is not an exact copy of the real one as ist 1mm to right due to its bool going a but odd due to the 1/3 line in the base.
This thing needs more work. have to beat the fn shading horribleness as its dammed ugly and unsure as to why but its probably a generated mesh has shit line edges as per the usual.
the emission LCD came out fine using the new font for it. Gave me grief with shading lines and positioning. the emission plane is embedded in the LCD glass cube and the top glass which should be plastic has to be airgapped from the LCD or blender throws shading errors, namely weird triangles.
further work is needed for the cover finger divots on the edges. Support pins at rear corners a screw and yet another bool to due my head in with. Cover of clear plastic and feet along with connecting the scale plate to the body as currently is 2mm floating.
Once i can get is dammed well working i will throw Snoze the Min-is on it and show that they are 30 ish grams weight.

2 Ice Cream wooden sticks, a curved one and the more basic straight type.
Most problem was from the annoying wooden texture and trying to make it look yellowish wood and not flooring. Had to redo it several times but its is better now. The blue floor has a Roughness of 1.0 to cut down on HDRI glare.

26-03-2019 attempts at mesh repair and re-rendering.
The small handle hole is messing my mesh up as it causing pinching in the bowl hand side. Bottom of bowl has the UV sphere pinch problem. Had attempted to grid fill this yesterday but after blender crashed I just gave up on it. Topology is my biggest problem.
Did figure out how to rotate and move HDRI images in World node which is improvement at least.

A basic quick base idea to make the print more stable. 30mm x 2 mm base with some extruded text that looks better than expected.
Basic eveee no tex render as I wanted it simple.
Next to do is print it in FDM and Resin to see what it looks like and give me a better idea of their size.

Which explains the crazy increase in Memory used.
This is pure white to basically show the shadows used in displacement and texture.
It does seem to work away fine for the most part. Tuning it is fiddly and render time is ages so I'm a bit bored of it now but it has helped for me to get an idea of what I am doing.

Will have to remake the texture as father knocked the power off again before I could save so its crappy gray now.

Egg whisk with 1mm wire loop head. It went OK, longer than the other by 5cm and with a 4mm shaft instead of 6mm.
Things to change, the head its not wide enough I think. Bit more width would look better. unsure if I should keep the shaft length, it might work.
Will have to work on the width if I am to do the safety pin wire loop head design.

Another attempt at this. Used a Cone and Intersect boolean and got it to work once applied with Bevel applied first.
More grief on the scalloping of the pain to wood section with a lot of fiddling required to get the verts to not have 2 horned section under subdivision shading.
Eventually got one corner right

A Crown cap with reasonable success on a simple beer mat.
The creases a too narrow in my view but having issues with the bevel modifier freaking out.
So far this simple image actually seems to work partly due to the low resolution..

Made a cover for it and had to resize the top rim and flange inner by 93.1% as for some reason I had got the measurements wrong the first time, I went out instead of in.
It took 2hrs! that's a damm long render time. The Cutting mat probably did not help the matter but makes for better image. The plastic is still lacking that whitish look it gets at angles.
Will do for now but it was slow!
