Many years ago we had this growing in a container and I don't know exactly what happened to it but it ceased to grow, probably from some form of neglect. When I went to reuse the pot I found there were still viable roots. So not wanting to kill anything I dug a hole and dropped it in, and here it is today many years later for our visual enjoyment.
Still working with Yankeeboy who is putting on some cool shows in Swindon and Andover. This poster was quite obviously for a Bleeding Through show that he has coming up, the girl in the picture is losely based around the keyboardest in the band.
I didnt want to go to dark with it because i think all that imagery has been done for this band, so instead i sort of hint at it with the colour.

Closeup of bleeding heart. Look closely and you can see condensation in the white part of the flower
Finally got to developing my almost month old shots - the laptop is giving out and Photoshop seems to be just too much for it to handle :(

this was one of my MUST VISITS... the Bleeding Heart Bakery in Chicago, IL...
there was 3 of us... and it was still too much for us! too rich! too big portions. BUT I also bought a lot!
lemon square ; tasty, lemony, not too sweet, but a bit too solid.
Pumpkin Whoopie Pie ; was the size of a huge hamburger! spongey, chewy cake, could have been more pumpkiny! Filling was good, not too sweet, a nice cream cheese flavor.
Veruca Salt Cupcake - Could have been more Vanilla-y & more SALT! But tasty.
It wasn't as "polished" as I had hoped... but still VERY GOOD.
they had cake balls that looked really good.
OVERALL, I really like what they do and what they stand for... and would advise people to go... the look of the shop is sort of chaotic, but cool... a bit like a tattoo parlor and a bakery.
"Pay mind to your own life, your own health, and wholeness. A bleeding heart is of no help to anyone if it bleeds to death." ~ Frederick Buechner
Bleeding hearts have always been my favorite flower (go figure) and we grew up with bleeding heart plants in the backyard. Our mom told us a story about a girl going to a ball (the pink heart parts), putting on her slippers (see them?) and earrings (ditto) and bringing a bottle of champagne (green with the little pollen cork top).
