It made me sad to wake up to the news of another senseless violent attack this morning in Brussels.
My heart and thoughts go out to all affected!
Bleeding Hearts were part of everyone's gardens when I was growing up. Not seen so often now, but always bloom in this particular location.
Lamprocapnos spectabilis (bleeding heart or Asian bleeding-heart) is a species of flowering plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae, native to Siberia, northern China, Korea and Japan. It is valued in gardens and in floristry for its heart-shaped pink and white flowers, borne in spring. Other common names include "lyre flower" and "lady-in-a-bath. With thanks to Wikipedia and the RHS website
MY THANKS TO ALL WHO VISIT AND COMMENT IT IS APPRECIATED
This year they have lots of lovely blooms. Perhaps because I removed a huge Oat Grass from directly in front of this plant... or, maybe it is the type of weather so far... who knows with plants. Gardening is a guessing game most of the time.
This is one of the many photos I took.. trying to get some interesting views of the blooms... bleeding hearts all look a bit "x" rated to me.... What would Freud say about me??

My beautiful Bleeding Heart plant, very lush & healthy. With Valentines' Day just around the corner, I wanted to share this with you all, hoping your hearts are joyful & blooming with love =)
Blue paint bleeding through the black belies the heritage of Fore River Transportation's B23-7 101 which was built in Jul. 1979 as Conrail 1992.
The crew has just begun their day with their first move being a run from the shop over to pull outbound cars that Twin Rivers' trackmobile had shoved out of the plant down Wharf Street and out under the Fore River drawbridge which rises above and beyond the train.
Fore River Railroad is the underlying owner of the 2 1/2 mile long railroad and holds the common carrier obligations for the line, but operation of it is contracted out. In the late 80s and through the 90s the line was operated by the Quincy Bay Terminal, an affiliate of New Hampshire's New England Southern, but in 2000 FRVT took over. FRVT is a Class III railroad owned by its largest customer, Twin Rivers Technology LLC, a manufacturer of industrial inorganic chemicals (rendering of glycerin, fatty acids). Twin Rivers purchased the former Proctor & Gamble soap plant in 1994 and in 2007 the company was purchased by FGV a Malaysian Global Agribusiness company that was originally and arm of the Malaysian government agency FELDA but was taken public in 2012.

My bleeding hearts plant - or Dicentra - is putting on a good show again this April. Love these plants and the flowers they produce. The evening sun catches ours and lights up all the little hearts.
The future, as everyone knows
Is where we're gonna be spending the rest of our life
Who said the future is closed
Never saw the promise in her eyes… liberty
And I’m running my mouth off
Running my mouth off
It's not poetry
And I’m running my mouth off again
Picture - heaven is closed
All the classroom prophets gone to ground
Schoolgirl says everyone knows
Love is a verb and not a noun
Or so it seems
It has me running my mouth off
Running my mouth off
It’s not poetry
But I’m running my mouth off again
One life at a time
Picture - heaven is closed
All the classroom prophets gone to ground
Schoolgirl says everyone knows
Love is a verb and not a noun
Or so it seems
It has me running my mouth off
Running my mouth off
It’s not poetry
But I’m running my mouth off again
Don't sleep, don't even think about it
No need, maybe a little bit
Still dream, About wakin' up free
As we can be
Forget whatever doesn't fit
Regret, regret none of it
Don't bet on gettin' rid of me
Yours eternally
What you can’t kill can't die
America will rise
Against the people of the lie
I love you more
Than hate loves war
I love you more
Than hate loves war
(War, war)
P.S. What if every human’s pain were visible in the form of red blood? What if every person bleeding on the inside was bleeding on the outside? What if we were drowning, walking in each other’s blood? Would we understand each other better and the meaning of agony better?
Not trying to turn a beautiful evening in NYC into bloody imagery, especially with ESB lights for the women's Olympics team… just trying to say that this world is a beautiful place, and it would be even more beautiful if people, instead of hating, put more effort into loving.
Bleeding hearts (Dicentra) and a sheepish little statue in the background trying to look like butter wouldn't melt after a garden party with Mme Tootsie that went on till the wee hours 🍸🍷

Thank you Pintomarta50 for identifying this plant, see details in her comment below.

This pub was a filming location from the two part London episodes of Death In Paradise.
DI Humphrey Goodman goes here to see Martha after she had left Saint Marie to work back in London. Humphrey decides to move back to London to start a life with her.
This bittersweet ending of his time on Death In Paradise eventually led to the spin off Beyond Paradise, which I have recently watched & enjoyed it a lot.

Not my original idea. I copied Flickr member Thorsten Erdmann's picture 'Vinum Bonum' created for the Macro Mondays theme 'found in the kitchen'.
