2 1/2 day with no food for Bobble (that means no water, more importanty)

Dad wanted the leftovers; mom flew in and mantled it until dad left. At one point the whole screen was filled with huge black wings. It was scary.

The undoubted stars of RIAT 2012 were the Korean Air Force Black Eagles display team. Their slick, pacy routine deservedly won them two prizes at this year's show, and the behaviour of all of the team's members won them many more friends.

Seen lined up on display, prior to both of their excellent flying routines are aircraft of the Swiss Air Force 'PC-7' and South Korea's 'Black Eagles' aerobatic teams.

On September 9, 2008 I caught the malt job arriving at the barley malting plant in Black Eagle, MT. I've often shot the malt job leaving the Great Falls yard, but this was the first time I'd shot it at the plant over in Black Eagle. Power for the train on this day was led by BNSF GP39M 2804 (ex-BN 2804, xx-SP GP30 7402, nee-SP GP30 5012), GP39M 2881 (ex-BN 2881, xx-BN GP35 2518, nee-GN 3035), GP35u 2523 (ex-ATSF 2822, xx-SPSF 3579, xxx-ATSF 2822, xxxx-ATSF GP35 3322, nee-ATSF 1323) and GP39M 2891 (ex-BN 2891, nee-SP GP35 7748).

Black Eagle (Ictinaetus malayensis perniger), Siharaja Forest Reserve, Sri Lanka

The black eagle (Ictinaetus malaiensis) is a bird of prey. Like all eagles, it is in the family Accipitridae, and is the only member of the genus Ictinaetus. They soar over forests in the hilly regions of tropical Asia and hunt mammals and birds, particularly at their nests. They are easily identified by their widely splayed and long primary "fingers", the characteristic silhouette, slow flight and yellow ceres and legs that contrast with their dark feathers.
