taking time out from life I am lost within myself. I feel no one around to guide me, help me surrounded by an enclosing blackness I am emotional and hurt. Is it within me this sense of uselessness or is it the end result of being hurt too many times. Cowering in the shadows of my pain....afraid to come out and confront my demons. I am ....lost within.
This scene is in the locality of Jack River, to the west of the town of Yarram in Victoria, Australia.
The windmill no longer pumps water because its head assembly and blades have been removed, fallen down, or been blown down.
The Post and Rail fence is interesting and full of character with its ups and downs and treated pine posts have been installed here and there to stop some posts from falling over.
A storm front came through bringing with it strong winds and a short shower of rain.
It was a very stormy day at Mackinaw City, Michigan. The clouds were wicked-looking, but the storm passed quickly...until the next one soon after, and the next... .
The boat is a ferry from Mackinac Island, and it arrived safely at the ferry dock in Mackinaw City.
I'm so proud of my fish! Thanks to Nissa Rayna who went fishing with me at HLD.
And this picture is for Blackcloud as from now on, i stop to hunt mice and rats...

In this first of two images the sun's intense 'Fireball' appearance caused this silhouette effect. Within one half hour the horizon turned a deep orange as the clouds moved further West as shown in the second image.
A fitting end to another perfect day - having started with a beautiful sunrise too!
This was what the weather was like when I was taking my emergency photo for today.
Just because we've now got glorious sunshine has nothing to do with the weather forecast, which predicted rain all day.
By the time the sun came out I'd lost the motivation to go out!
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
I was fishing from a small boat, in Hall Lake, when the sky over distant hills darkened and it became obvious a storm was fast approaching on a strengthening wind. Rather than sit it out in open water, I decided to seek shelter in the lee of the aptly named "seagull island". The many white gulls perched on the island stood out as I got nearer. Photographed in British Columbia, Canada.
Explored August 8, #342.

The sun appeared from under the clouds.
To gently express the surface of the sea, I tried a long exposure using ND and C-PL filters.
Often times the rain comes after the scary black clouds move on. Happily, no harm came to us from these clouds.
Trees that fit (almost) perfectly into the gap on the horizon.
Looking west towards Forest Drove near Bickenhall.
The weather on this particular day was really poor, having just visited Crail the rain had started and there was quite a swell getting up in the sea so it was time to move on toward St Andrews, it was obvious that a huge storm was coming in off the sea from the East, as the rain at this stage was very slight I decided to use the old Church at Boarhills as a backdrop to the storm coming in behind it as there was still some really good light before the clouds were fully overhead. less than 5 minutes later this shot was impossible as all the light vanished, the rain was that heavy it was very difficult to see to drive in! and it didn't stop for about 4 hours. A lucky break this time!
Boarhills church is located in Fife, just outside St Andrews, the lonely stone building was built in 1867,
