Another large spider waiting in the cracks of the bricks for an unsuspecting moth attracted to light. I have no idea what this is, so ID help would be appreciated.

Bit of “posing” and a pellet being expelled 👍

my favorite cat...(a little bit camera shy - had to use the telephoto lens to get this shot).

Here is a photo on a recent day trip i took to snug falls. Snug falls is about a 40 minute drive south of Hobart, Followed by a 20min to the falls. The falls a pretty impressive after a couple of days of heavy rain.

For this image i wanted to get a different angle than most of the photos that you see of snug falls. So it took a bit of careful footwork to get to the other side of the creek without getting to wet. the only problem with this problem was that being so close i was constantly having to wipe water off the lense. I think the photo gives you a pretty interesting perspective.

I just think how cool it would have been to be at the waterfall when that huge log came tumbling down. i'm guessing there must have been some serious rain to bring that thing down.

This is a HDR image composed of 5 different exposures.

A bit of gentle coasteering to Seymour toer (Jersey) the water are notoriously treacherous there and the currents very strong when the tide is coming up so we decided to follow the tide on its way out, we crossed the gulleys with water water coming to just above my legs (I'm short), the water is so warm at this time of the year, it was a refreshing exercise!

As if a visiting cruise liner, a couple of weddings, a funfair and the Burryman wasn't enough for one day, this van crashed just up from the High Street. No-one was hurt.

Bit of recent preparation, all Lyme Regis material from Paddy Howe (Who is now moving to Tipperary in Southern Ireland). Still a bit melted (apparently I need a finer nozzle on the air-abrasive).

Looking a bit worse for wear, PC 4064 sits in storage awaiting an uncertain future. 4064 had been built by Budd in 1947 as Pennsylvania 4064, one of a group of ten 52 Seat Coaches built for New York-Florida service. It would run in that market, along with others for most of its service life with the PRR. In 1968, it became Penn Central property in the merger and became PC 4064. When Amtrak was formed in 1971, the car was not initially purchased but was instead placed in storage. This view was taken during that time. Amtrak would buy 4064 in 1974 and place it back in service as their 5286. Around 1975 or so, Amtrak would convert the car to a 60 Seat Coach and renumber it 6073. Retirement came along in 1981. The Orrville Railroad Heritage Society would purchase 6073 in 1984 and number the car 101. Wearing a faux tuscan red/stainless steel PRR look, the car was used on various mainline excursion outings over the next 40 odd years. In 2017, ORHS would sell the car to the Dennison (Ohio) Railroad Depot Museum. In 2024, the Dennison group still owns the car and occasionally uses it for excursions and other special trips.

I saw this little guy swimming around, but every time I raised the camera, he darted off. Right towards the end of the trip, I tried one last time and got three shots before he swam off again. Cute, isn't he?

Day 171: 20.6.09

I thought I'd only get five days out of this but I think I'll be able to stretch it on to the full week. So yay for my time consuming morning rituals.

I think my next theme could be "How to eat a portion of fried rice one grain at a time" or maybe "One step in front of the other, the art to walking to the bus stop". Those could keep me going for a while.

Mmmm fried rice leads to Chinese take away which has chips in curry sauce which always ends with a happy belly. In fact I think I'll pull those boots on and go get some. Oh as luck would have it someone is already going and will bring me back some.

Mmphm num nom...oops sorry. It's impolite to type with your mouth full. Chip anyone? They're full of spicy curryness. You? You? How about you? No not you I can see you already have a large one on your shoulder. Haha that one never gets old.

Righty another glass of pineapple juice and I'll be ready to settle down with my latest rental from lovefilm.com :oD
