Shutter plate separated from the body. The pin of the cocking ring is supposed to push out to allow easy separation, but mine was stuck fast, and in the end all the shutter leaves fell out, along with their stiffeners (the small pieces). It is necessary to separate the shutter plate to access the aperture blades, but not necessary to disturb the leaves in the process.
Try to avoid operating the shutter while the cocking shaft E-clips are missing. The shaft will start to move through the backplate, and springs can get unhooked.

Bit over-processed perhaps but quite like the bluey tones. Lighting wasn't as brilliant as the others, sun was there but obscured by clouds.
Shot on a 5D Mark II with Sigma 30mm and then cropped in to remove vignette.
In the Oldedalen Valley guarded by steep mountains, the clouds and rain persisted. A farm building stands in the middle of a field surrounded by wild and cultivated flowers, a bit of serenity not far from the raging Oldeelva River.

My grandfather (more like my dad)passed away just over 2 years ago. Just before he passed away he gave me all of his WWII memorabilia including a scrap book of photos from the days he was serving amongst the great men of the US Pacific Fleet.
The scrapbook is deteriorating rather rapidly, so I am backing everything up digitally. I'll share some of the more interesting photos as I back them up.
War is a terrible thing, and to see the things these soldiers saw on a daily basis, must have been pure hell (on both sides). These photos help me to keep that in perspective. More over it reminds me of the sacrafice that such great men made to keep the world in order.

My Grandfather was one of the greatest men I ever met, and this is one of the last ties I have to his memory. Any rudeness, and I'll hide the set.
A little about my Grandfather... Honest and true in every aspect of his life. He was married to my grandmother for over 50 years before he passed away, and never once cursed in her presence (even when they had disagreements).
My family is a bit broken as my father left my mother when I was only a small child. My teenage years weren't that much better... I was a rebel without a cause, and when everyone else was giving up on me, my Grandfather is the one who didn't. I owe him everything. I've made good on promises I made to him to make the most of my life. And even though he's not here to guide me when I step out of line, I still remember his base rules...
1.) Never lie. Do as you say. Say as you do.
2.) Work hard and take pride in what you do.
3.) Realize that the world can live without you, but you can not live without the world.
4.) Do not make ripples within your family such that it effects their lives (a.k.a. lose the drama).
5.) Love and cherish your wife (and children) like there is no tomorrow.
6.) Hold strong to your beliefs, but never wish for war as a source of resolution.
For monaw2008...she requested word blocks - one of our name and another of our choice. They were really fun to try and to make!

Vesterålen
Vesterålen is a district and archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of the Lofoten district and archipelago and west of the city of Harstad. It is the northernmost part of Nordland county.
The Old Norse forms of the name were Vestráll and Vestrálar (plural). The first element is vestr which means "west" and the last element is áll which means "(deep and narrow) sound" or "strait". The name describes the seaway west of the island of Hinnøya. The old name of the seaway east of Hinnøya (now called Tjeldsundet) might have been Austráll (meaning "the eastern sound/strait").
Vesterålen consists of the municipalities of Andøy, Bø, Hadsel, Sortland, and Øksnes. According to some definitions, Lødingen is also included. Vesterålen is made up of several islands: Langøya, Andøya, Hadseløya, the western part of Hinnøya, the northern part of Austvågøya and several smaller islands.
The landscape is mountainous, but the mountains have a more rounded shape compared to the mountains in Lofoten. The towns and villages are situated on the coastal brim (Strandflaten) between the mountains and the fjords. There are also several lakes, such as Alsvågvatnet. Møysalen National Park is partly located in Vesterålen. The climate in Vesterålen is maritime, with mild winters considering this archipelago is well north of the arctic circle. In Stokmarknes (Hadsel), January average is −1.8 °C, July 24-hr average is 12.3 °C, year average is 4.3 °C and precipitation is 1,220 millimetres with autumn as the wettest season.
Vesterålen is connected to the mainland and Evenes airport by bridges. It is connected to Lofoten by ferry, although since the opening of the Lofast road in December 2007, Lofoten can also be reached by road.
The coastal steamer Hurtigruten calls at the ports of Stokmarknes, Sortland, and Risøyhamn in Vesterålen. There are two regional airports: Stokmarknes Airport, Skagen for small aircraft, and Andenes Airport on Andøya.
The population in Vesterålen as of 1 January 2004 was 30,648 (Statistisk Sentralbyrå). The largest town is Sortland, but the regional hospital (sykehus) is in nearby Stokmarknes in Hadsel municipality. The Royal Norwegian Air Force has based all its P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft at Andøya Air Station, and Andøya Rocket Range is also located at Andøya. The Norwegian Coast Guard has its northern base at Sortland (Kystvaktskvadron Nord).
Fishing, in particular cod fisheries, has always been important in Vesterålen. There is also fish farming, and some agriculture in Vesterålen.

I recently got this interesting product. It's a computer that comes with a basic interface so you can code and run basic language programs.
The main feature it's that you can play famicom games as well. It comes with two turbo controllers.
Back in the eighties the MSX computer was very successful in Japan, Europe and South America, Sony release a model called MSX Hit Bit, maybe this is a Chinese attempt to copy an MSX computer.
It's very cool and it has output for a printer and a tape recorder.
