A Black Swan Event (def): an unexpected high impact occurrence, yet one which, it is later concluded, was 'bound to happen'.
It is early. Very early. Those who are game find a reason to get up and out, whilst those who are not snooze on. Up on Collie’s Reach two strangers' paths cross. You know how it is: you get chatting, make conversation, to be polite. As it transpires Meryl and Jamie chare a lot more than their appearances betray. Buried misunderstandings come home to roost as the two realise that some wishes just won't fly.

I was mucking around.. trying to illustrate how big this guy has gotten. He's a little way back from the glass. He is actually about 7-8 inches long and 2-3 inches high.
I like how the other fish have come in from the side.
Taken one-handed - in case you couldn't count! ;).

Semi-detached 1940's houses in Standish near Wigan, Lancashire. Both retain original doors, with the one on the left boasting the original leaded windows.
Harvest time - some fields have already been harvested while others like this are full of ripe crops waiting to be picked, swaying in the breeze, the stalks rippling like the sea in the wind. This picture was later used by the BBC for an audio-visual slideshow online as a part of their Bitesize study guides as an aide to understanding poetry:

My best friend in Japan, Arisa used to make these. They are great, not sweet, kind of like shortbread, melt in your mouth cookies. I was looking for a drink recipe last weekend and found this recipe instead. I was so excited! If there is one thing we both like a lot its sweets! They make me think of her, and all the fun we had! Yum, yum!

Made some Pork Dumplings (Sui Mai) today for lunch. I rushed making these so they're sloppy. This is what it looks like before it's steamed.
MOCHI is one of my favorite desserts. Sweet, fruity ice cream wrapped in soft fluffy dough and dusted with a white powder. The first time I experienced it was at a Japanese restaurant ten years ago.
This one is Green Tea. My other favorite flavors??? I love mango, chocolate and strawberry. If you haven't tried this delicisciousness yet, read more below. You can actually get it at Trader Joe's these days! :)-

Nutty, sweet, UPFRONT salty and buttery!!!
These French cookies, originated from Brittany, are meant to be irregularly shaped. Very small and yet VERY ADDICTIVE! They're SO nutty that imagine what'd have happened if I'd toasted those almonds before making them!
And, the specks on those cookies come from the unblanched almonds that I used. (Didn't have any blanched ones at that moment.)

And one for me. Mini cupcakes for Kevin and Jessica's baby shower last weekend. Just a few weeks to go!
A selection of treats offered at the 1:00 PM Tea Service at The Getty Villa. The flavors were wonderful and the portions were quite filling.
