When out picking blueberries I got chigger bites (2nd year in a row). This is nothing compared to last year though. It's concentrated on my ankles but I have them from my feet up to my chest. I had about 70 bites last year and it was excrusiating! I only have about 20 bites this time. They are really itchy but mostly, they just hurt and have all this pressure from the puss. If I don't pop them, they just keep getting bigger and bigger and cause more pain than when I let the puss ooze out. The oozing is gross but really important to feeling better. This year, I can wear shoes, last year I was unable to. This is painful and annoying but definitely easier to live with than my last experience with chiggers.

A week ago it was a solid, puffy pink circle. I thought it was a reaction to a mosquito bite, not a first for me. A few days later the swelling went down and it became a mottled red solid circle. Odd, but painless. Yesterday it started itching and became this pink ring over the course of the day. It's a little swollen and still itchy, and kind of warm. Curioser and curioser.

My body *REALLY* does not like mosquito bites

they're my favorite...sometimes.

We stopped at "Chompers" fast food and the boys had to have some Gator Bites

This cat bite was a small wound but localised infection spread to cause cellulitis, a potentially life threatening condition.

ouch!! this was a bite by my vampire snake... very rare snake... bite really hurts.

We're trying to retrain Teek's bitey instinct. He never really moved out of the chompy teething phase. So for now it's lick, lick, bite, "no!" Repeat.

you decide. mine was out a month before any copy of this artists "piece" i've seen

My 7-month-old oriental shorthairs are getting more & more mischievous. They're the reason why the shelf in front of the window is a randomized tangle of whatever. As for Oscar biting Nénu's tail, it happens so often she doesn't pay attention anymore. =laugh=

I do have a photography-related question, which is, "to crop or not to crop?" I can't decide whether I should crop closer in on the cat action in this photo, or whether the miscellaneous mess they've created adds interest or color or something. Any comments welcome!

Friday bites her nails just like me...I do wish she would stop it but then again she just wouldn't be Friday.

So our trip could probably end now... we made it to Bobcat Bite. The woman who owns the place was in house, and was every bit as pleasant as she is in all the TV specials. We ate on the covered porch, and boy howdy, was it tasty. We'll be stopping back for t-shirts.

The foil wrapper is some awesome textured mirror glass I have been holding on to for ever from delphi glass. I just cut it out as the base and made the strips. It is really mirror but I suppose I was wearing red and it picked up my reflection when I was taking the photo

George catches a fierce mouse. I rescue the mouse, which promptly bites me, almost breaking the skin.

I "sustained" these at the Comfort Inn in Columbus, Indiana. Gross. When I get bedbug bites, they itch for nearly a month. The bites look different from person to person, and itch for different periods of time depending upon the individual.

the line on my lips really bothers me... i didn't see it when i was photoshopping it but i really wish i had. that came from me pressing my lips together to keep the color from fading while i was setting up the camera. gah.

I tried a Tasty Bite product for the first time today, and I was quite satisfied. So easy, convenient, and, well, tasty.

This picture was taken five days after the bite. Most of the tissue has sloughed off leaving a large ulcer. The antibiotics have eliminated most of the infection. Some of the rotten tissue has turned black and is turning hard like beef jerky, YUM....

You can see the leg mussel and some fat tissue. There is lots of fat tissue.

The doctor indicated that it will take from six to twelve months for the wound to heal. I have another doctor visit in a few days to determine if I need surgery to remove some of the dead tissue.
