Today's image is from one of my favorite photo shoots to date with Mackenzie. A shoot that, to date, I have only posted one other photo from. (I have one or two more from this series that I will likely upload this month.) This came near the end of our session when we started getting creative in the kitchen and she picked up this lemon and starting pretending to bite it.
One of the things I like about this image in particular is that I had to do very, very little post processing in Lightroom. This was nearly perfect out of camera. This is all natural lighting, too. Any adjustments (highlights, contrast, vignette, etc.) are all very subtle. I'll have to do another photo shoot with Mackenzie soon.

I've just been to the dentist, getting the message I've got three wisdom teeth that needs to be remowed sooner rather than later. "Remowed" in this case means cut out. Ofcourse the dentist used the word "operate", but it means at least one knife, and that makes me sweat like an hour in the gym just thinking about it... *whine*
Oh, and i look SO tired on this shot.. :p

Just had to include this one, though it doesn't 'fill the frame' it was a great shot that I didn't realise I had. Bit of darkening the mood and it looks much more intentional then it was.

This was captured on Broadway in the Soho district. A place I used to visit frequently when I first moved here. Great for shopping and people watching. Over the years I do less shopping and even less Soho visits. However once in a while I like to take a trip down memory lane as they say. The area hasn't changed much, weekends are always packed with tourists, families and eager shoppers. It's the best crowd to get lost in, stake a position and snap away capturing people as is.
I've never really understood the nail biting habit, so much grime and dirt under those nails, I do not need to put it in my mouth. Is is some left over behavior from thumb sucking? Is it just an oral fixation need? It's definitely something, since even seniors still tend to nail bite.

I have been watching the gulls more closely than usual these days in hopes of spotting a black headed gull. This isn't exactly what I was looking for but it is a great example of frantic teamwork with one gull biting the tail of the feeding gull and the other one prepared to grab the starfish. I think this goes beyond "cleptoparasitic"!!
I was bitten by a spider, not sure what kind. I live in Oakland county michigan. I became very concerned when the redness started to spread, then within a few hours it started to travel up my arm. I marked the outline of the redness to see how much it changed. I went to the hospital and when the E.R. doctors saw how fast it had traveled they became very concerned. I was started on rapid I.V. drip of antibiotics. and saline. If you ever get bitten "do not squeeze the bite or abscess, other wise you might end up in the hospital like I did. This was taken as I was leaving my house for the hospital.

While not visible from this side or distance, the damage to these bones show they were bitten off. Size and shape of the marks indicate T. rex was the culprit. However the bone shows signs of healing, meaning this animal survived it's encounter with the tyrant predator.
I woke up with these two unbearably itchy bug bites on my forearm on Tuesday morning. Later in the day they developed these weird blisters in the center of each bite. Hard to see in the picture, but there's a large reddish swollen area surrounding the smaller red bites and blisters. I was sure we had bed bugs and were doomed, but after cleaning psychotically, reading bed bug info on the internets for hours, and suffering no further bites (yet), I think I may have jumped to a wrong conclusion. I hope.
little man puts his feet in rain boots and 15 min later there is swelling, discoloration, and i am freaking out. three bites. he is completely unfazed
