The 10 Bit LED Sign is a personal project to create an analog LED sign. It uses an LCD screen as the source. Photodiodes arranged in a (10X10) grid read the light output from the LCD, then directly output to each LED on the sign. There are no electronics, other than LEDs, Photodiodes and lots of wiring.

I took this photo close to where I live in Vágur, Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. I am not sure about what kind of insect that is. Can somebody please tell me what kind of flying insect that is? It remindes me of the wasps in Tórshavn, which came to the Faroes a few years ago. But they are not common in my island.
The flower grows wild, this one grew close to a road with almost no traffic - some 100 metres altitude. The flower is called "Devil's bit Scabious" in English, according to my book: "Faroese Plants - HNJ's Indispensable Guide to the Faroe Islands". The Faroes name is: Blákollur or Líragras. In Iceland it is called: Stúfa. In Danish: Djævelsbid. Flowering time is in July and august.

its in a bit of disrepair, but much more my level! Inspired by the stupidly large stuff i saw earlier in secret dirt jump location, and with keys, phone and camera out of pockets and within easy crawling distance, i attempted the doubles on the right. i'm still here. Woo.

Lushola currently lives in the top bit of Park Hill flats in sheffield and has done since she was 19. Ive spent alot of time with Lushola recently and would easily call her my friend. Shes had quite a troubled life from the very begining, as a child she was given up by her Nigerian parents and lived with varies foster parents for years. She recently has been fighting to gain back custody of her little boy who was taken away from her by social services. She is very nice woman and very kind hearted but circumstances have left her living in not the best of conditions.
Park Hill flats were orignaly opened in the 1960's and were the height of luxury for social housing, however in the 1980's when unemployment gripped the country, the flats became run down and gained a bad reputation for drugs and mugging. In 1999 the flats were given Grade 3 listing status to much of the local peoples dismay. Now the flats are in a weird limbo as Urban splash have started a troubled renovation which has left 1/4 brand new expensive flats 2/4 abandoned and 1/4 with original occupants. Park Hill was originally all social housing but now only 20-30% will be and Urban splash have stated they cant continue redevelopment until they sell the first phase of the redevelopment, but with an asking price starting from £90,000 in one of sheffields most notorious areas this is proving extreemly difficult.
