With this ISO 100 photo from a Canon 40D the results are less obvious than with the ISO 800 photo from a 450D. 8 bit again is not enough with very obvious posterization artifacts. 9 bits gets very close to the quality of the 14 bit version but I think there is still a small difference which pretty much disappears in the 10 bit file.
The user interface of the Rawnalyze program is rather annoying. The program gives no indication if it accepted my command to reduce the bit depth. So it often leaves me guessing if the program actually did the intended treatment.

Jonathan Saunders' wordmark doesn't stand up to typographic scrutiny. Irregular widths, terrible spacing, incorrect modulation and ill-conceived proportions make the overall effect very amateurish.
Bruno recreated and refined the wordmark (the second line) and offered his new version for free, but never heard back.
Just a bit of fun with Photoplus. Unlike my other montage of effects , some of these required extensive work by hand.
Many are done by using a color selection tool, creating a mask based on the selection, and then fooling with the result.

While I was bored the other day, I happened to have a bag of sharpies next to me on the desk. I decided to try out an idea I had been speculating over for a while. It kind of reminded me of the olden days of 8-bit gaming.
