A bit of a change this year - usually, there is some sort of ice skating thing, but this year this was not the case.
Instead, we got Tic Tock, a purely acrobatics based show - I'm sure that some people were disappointed that they weren't going to see Olympians.
A bit of let down yes, but at least this year, I didn't have to divide my attention up to figure out what to photograph.
These bushes, along with trees, grow down the meridian of the parking lot of the big grocery store off the island. I saw the color on the tips of these...only a few, but the contrast against the paving and the dark dreary day caught my eye. I am still working on the settings of the new camera, but I loved this so much...it is straight off the camera.
These are like mini bites of cheesecakes....so delicious! My mom used to make them when I was a kid, and I recently found her recipe card in a box of recipes I had. They turned out just the way I remembered them tasting....like little bites of heaven!
Her freckles are so barely there that I'm not sure you can even see them in this shot! <3 They're there... If you look hard enough. hehe
There's quite a bit to this piece it's 2 large clock gears the tatted medallion from Totusmel's challenge, a filigree wrapped watch face with a brass stamping topped off with a watch gear. And then a hair stick with a brass knob topped with a gear this is a smaller version of the gear topped hairsticks.

Finally caught up through yesterday. Another case of pulling something old out of the folders. yeah, it's a bit on the easy side, and all intentions point at having something new for today's photo. This works, though, due to aggravation starting early in the day and wearing through until after work. Good thing for good people, though, since my mood had lightened significantly by the time I passed out.

I think this is a domestic Call Duck. Its been swimming around with the Mallards for some months now at Crombie Reservoir. The far (shallow) end of the reservoir was frozen, so this brought everything closer to the path at the near end, for photo opportunities.
Cycling on the MoPac trail. While cycling for recreation, I often stop to take pictures. Those who naysay kickstands are obviously not photogs.
Maybe a bit of cropping would be nice on the left side...? Or not? ALL of the fog is def nice. :q
On my way between the Arvika and Roskilde festivals in Sweden and Denmark, respectively... Had to catch Nine Inch Nails gigs on consecutive days. :B
