Sweet spot or not I've certainly enjoyed eating all the props this weekend! Muffins, candy corn, lifesavers of various flavours, gummy bears and a lot of biscuits! We only have 18 of these palmier biscuits left to eat! This week certainly one of the hardest but tastiest challenges in the group for me. More practice needed for finding that sweet spot. HMM!

Broken biscuits don't contribute to your daily calorie intake. That's what I think anyway.
Cheesy biscuits on a cheese platter lit with a ring light from the left hand side.
Chinese horseshoe biscuits, or Beh Teh Soh (马蹄酥) or Heong Paeng (香饼), filled with sticky sweet fillings and a crispy skin, a popular pastry with the Chinese community.
Chocolate covered ginger biscuits.
As I've said before, I seldom bake.
To my surprise they succeeded well,
tasty and soft :)

Our biscuit jars - Daisy thinks that any jar with any food in it is worth checking. She didn't get my maple syrup biscuits though, I gave her the cat food as usual.

No lens experiments. I just put a cookie (a biscuit) on focusing helicoid and shoot through holes on it. Only post-processing is conversion to monochrome and a lot of contrast added.
It's snowing outside and seemed like a good idea to make some buttermilk biscuits. They looked so pretty, they needed a picture!
I am cat-sitting. Our Mimi is a sweet little ragdoll with a small face that easily fits into the allowed dimensions for MM.

got a chance to shoot into the light this week, there were only a few long narrow streaks between the trees that fell across the oval before it got too late, but enough to play with - feels like it's been a while and I do love this style, Biscuit happy to oblige playfully :-)
