Também conhecido como caracará, carancho, caracaraí (Ilha do Marajó), gavião-de-queimada e gavião-calçudo. O carcará não é taxonomicamente uma águia, e sim um parente distante dos falcões. There were around 15 Nanday Parakeets on the Norfolk Pine in my backyard. They were very noisy and chasing each other around. I caught this pair as it flew from one side of the tree to the other.
