This is a baby Harris Hawk, four weeks old. Cute, but packs a bit of a nip with its beak. It can't even fly yet!

This bird definitely was keeping an Eye on me. Canon 7D and 300 f4 +1.4

This picture was taken on September 10, 2008 and has already been uploaded, however I've been unable to get any decent shots here in Scotland due to unreliable lighting and not enough patience so I decided to start retouching some of my more favorite images. The main difference between this image and the older one is that I remade it from the raw using a different color curve to try to enhance the lighter colors. On top of that I went though and tried to flatten the contrast in the background while sharpening and improving the contrast of the owl in the foreground.

Some record shots taken at the FOLP AGM last night - Alan Greenhalgh put on a very entertaining talk with numerous birds of prey. Lighting was of course a nightmare with white balance...
