Taken at the International Centre for Birds of Prey at Newent, Gloucestershire, UK.

Had the most awesome day at Claire Carter and Hawkeye Bird of Prey Photography Workshop in Thoresby Park. A privilege to get close to such beautiful birds and I learned such a lot about bird photography that I hope I can put in to practice in future. My photos (just a few here out of 100s I took today) are pale imitations of what is achievable but I'm happy with (some of) my efforts with limited kit.

The female is back and I have it good authority that the male is also, although he didn't put in an appearance while I was there. In the bottom image you can see her defensive reaction to an intruder who flew over the nest!!

Common Buzzard South Gloucestershire England

This came into the garden after the birds that we feed. It chased one from one of the shrubs next to the feeder, to the hedge. The little bird got away and the sparrow hawk is still hungry.
