International Centre for Birds of Prey - Newent, Gloucestershire

Birds of Prey flying display at Tilmanstone Village Fete, Kent, 23 July 2010

The garden centre was hosting some owls and a kestrel yesterday, and I snapped a few shots of the amazing creatures, just on my phone.

Amazing flexability in these birds! This hawk visited my

maple tree....

Taken at Delemere one Sunday when a bird handler was there showing these beautiful birds to the children.

These are samples of the first shots I took with my new Canon 7D . Still got to get used to the tracking system.

The overall speed is amazing

Four-spotted chaser at Lackford Lakes June 2014

I have been watching this pair of ospreys build a nest for a while near the school where I work. I decided to stop by on my way home after visiting with the owls. They treated me to a couple of fly-bys and landings on the back of it's mate. The late afternoon sun cast a warm, golden glow.
