Wilson's Bird of Paradise

The first cruise since December 2019 due to Covid 19, we visited familiar places along the California coast for 7 days. Tried to capture some unusual pictures. Enjoy.
These things are awesome, right? The way they have all those asymmetrical pointy things, and they call them "birds of paradise", and they don't really look like birds, and yet they still sort of do? Have you ever looked at these things and thought, "Yeah, they are definitely judging me!"
...No? Oh, so it's just me who noticed, then? Because they're only judging you, not me. One day, when I have a house, I will plant these things in my front yard, and they WILL be judging you. They might not be real, because I will not be living in a jungle, but they WILL be judging you.
