This is some birds of paradise that I blended sometime last year, and froze in the freezer. I finally got to making it about a month ago. I bleached it, so that it would be more versatile in use. I found that beautiful japanese paper you see underneath it from a small store in San Francisco.

Here I am in my backyard in front of the tangelo tree. I took this thinking I would crop it to around the Birds of Paradise and my head. Now looking at it, it's more amusing to see me crouching over. I am very mindful that it is January 7, 2009 and I am surrounded by a fruit-filled tangelo tree and Birds of Paradise. I love my Ray Bans and I like hiding too.

Strelitzia have to be grown, with great case, in a green house in England. Here they seem to grow wild.
