Secretarybird, Sagittarius serpentarius, 150 cm. / 59 in. ENDANGERED. Open grasslands, savanna and karoo (shrubland). Tall, long-legged raptor that walks through grassland hunting prey like snakes, which are stamped to death with hardened pads on small, scaled feet.
