Just a shot showing some grasses that missed the fire's onslaught, as compared to the previous two shots where everything was burned.
Was out looking for birch trees today and happened across some...a creative treatment to celebrate birch trees!
Autumn is not just a season, it’s an invitation. Take a step outside, have a walk, enjoy your time. I like this period not only because of pretty colors, but because of special atmosphere of calmness.
The picture from a very early walk in my city on one foggy morning in October.
Thank you for all the comments and faves, my friends.
Savoir lire les signes avant coureurs... J'ai vu ces jolis nuages le matin, la pluie a commencé quelques heures plus tard !
(It's interesting to read the warning signs : I saw these pretty clouds in the morning, the rain started a few hours later ! )

The true winter has come. The days of darkness and cold. Seldom sunbeams can only break this cover.

Update:
She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Oct 18th, 2019.
The sun was melting a recent thin covering of snow on the branches and had fabulous coloured light but despite trying couldn't get the camera to see what I could see!! Drat - but!! thought this was quite pretty anyway - The Shimmer is easier to envisage large I think?
These Downy birch trees in the northern part are growing short and standing against the different element. Cold winds and snow, they're tough trees, standing against the rough environment. Fascinating shapes and I think they would look lovely in water colour :)
This is part of a large addition that I am making to my Bay View album. Bay View is a community of summer cottages near Petoskey, Michigan. Most of these additional photographs are highlighting the great number of porch styles in the community. Taken on an drizzling, overcast day.
And as Gina said under my “Seven Up” porch, the houses in this community are “all-American”, not a cookie-cutter in the place. Available at 17-robert-carter.pixels.com in the “Bay View” collection.
