Quilt made with leftover scraps from this quilt.

Inspired by Film In The Fridge's Flying Farfalle quilt to use up nearly every last scrap from my prior quilt. Finished size approx. is 35"x46."

Did you know that more than half the stars in the Milky Way galaxy are thought to be binary star systems? Interesting, eh?

Been a bit difficult to get out and shoot the last several days. But I did manage to go out on Sunday and hiked the Falls Brook Trail. I've been to the falls a few times and heard there was a second cascade, a little further downstream. But there was little to no reference to it online and due to the very steep terrain, the trail ends at the first falls. Beyond that, it requires some difficult bushwhacking. Anyhow, I decided to venture further down the hill side which would likely require ropes to access if it were any steeper. What I discovered was an even larger cascade about 100 yards further down stream. Got some long exposure stills, 360 spherical panoramics, videos and even managed to squeeze the drone up between the trees for a few aerials. This shot was with the 360 camera (I'm hiding behind the big tree on the right).

The sun sets over Graham Lake at the Bald Mountain State Park - North unit.

As I was canoing, I was looking for the best place to get a sunset photo. I noticed this spot, and returned when the sun started getting low.

My view of what a study hall should be like.

If you feel bored with studying simply try and solve some of the binary messages. Either that will bore you back to your studying or stimulate you to further intelectual enhancements.

Also note all the litterbins! There are always too few! Can you spot all 7 visible from this angle?

The G2 star, Eresnewba beta, and distant red giant, Eresnewba alpha, set in apparent alignment (within 15 degrees) as they do approximately every 1024 earth days as viewed from Weber’s world. The seismic activity on the planet becomes uncomfortably intense. The outpost is schedule to be unmanned in a few years as the planet’s orbit becomes increasingly destabilized. The telemetry instrumentation will continue to transmit measurements of the Roche lobe overload (mass transfer due to the proximity of Eresnewba alpha and beta), and the shifting of the barycenter. But I hope to visit again for this spectacular annual event.

Just when you thought I was done posting pics from Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe, this happens. Haha! I spent a lot of time photographing Emerald Bay over the last year. Every time I visit there is something unique to be captured, which keeps me coming back for more. It is amazing how the bay can transform depending on the forces of nature. I have seen white caps to perfect mirror reflections and much in between. Not to mention, the occasional areas that can freeze over during winter months. This is a photo I took several months ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. There will be much more to come. Thank you for stopping by!

An up close and vertical view of the binary screen of the University of Technology Sydney's Building 11 and it's binary screen. I love the shadow and light on the screen here.
