Rebuilt Southern Railway Merchant Navy Pacific Class 35018 British India Line, in BR livery passing Towthorpe on the outskirts of York at the head of the Scarborough Spa Express.
It was good to bump into Tom again at the same spot as a couple of months ago.
Bil-Bil Castle has a romantic history. It was built by a Spanish merchant for his moorish bride who was pining for her homeland across the Mediterraen Sea. He reproduced a moorish house to make his bride feel at home.
It is a beautiful example of a well to do Moorish house, complete with indoor courtyard, Fine plasterwork and a wonderful garden filled with fountains and running water .
There are regular art exhibitions held there now. It isd situated on a headland with the waves crashing all around., looking across to her beloved North Africa.
Bil-Bil Castle is a Neo-Arab style building that Leon and Fernanda Hermann ordered built. The architect was Enrique Atencia and the building was finished in 1934. However the owners were never able to live in it because the Spanish Civil War started in 1936. Later an American bought it and lived in it with his family. His first name was William and he had a son with the same name. Since his nickname was Bill, the neighbors started calling the building Bil-Bil. The building was remodeled in the 1990’s.
The building is painted red and the exterior is decorated with attractive tile. There are gardens with fountains and there is a beautiful view of the beaches.

Due to certain unforeseen events the castle was later acquired by Benalmadena Municipality and was remodeled in the 1990’s. It is now used as a cultural center, with art exhibitions, conferences, concerts, weddings and other events.

Denne lagde eg når eg var seks år gammal. Kjørnes grendalag gav i `91 mulighet til at folk kunne sende inn bidrag til pynting av busskur og fotgjengerundergang. Tema var eventyr. Eg tegna ein bil og fekk ein heil vegg for meg sjølv. Suckers. Ein kamerat av meg som var 6 år eldre tagga over den med ein stensil han fikk med i Metallica Live Shit vhs-pakken.

In 1923, Hans and Even Øveraasen of Norway constructed an early snowplow for use on cars. This proved to be the start of a tradition in snow-clearing equipment for roads, railways and airports, as well as the foundation of the company Øveraasen Snow Removal Systems.

This car is from the second generation that was built from 1970 to 1981. The largest engine officially available was the 7.5l 455cu V8.
