We were on the look out for Black Rhino, and saw this big male lion who seemed pretty annoyed that we'd disturbed him.
Cats seem to be experts at relaxation, whether big or small. I was happy to let Naphisa's beauty and soft tranquility wash over me and soothe my soul.

I have thousands of images stored on my hard drive. A recent attempt to organize them uncovered many that were somehow left unprocessed. These rare beauties were photographed in the Singapore Wildlife Reserve in 2007.

This is one of the two lions that decided to settle next to my car. He sat there, and kept his eyes on the grazing Impala. He would look at me for a moment and get back to stalking the antelopes. This was an experience of a lifetime, and my heart rate was rising with excitement.
With mom nearby, these Puma (Puma concolor or Felis concolor) kittens peek out at the photographers, from their safe place. These kittens or cubs are 4 or 5 months old. Lago Sarmiento area, near Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile.
So majestic! This leopard was in a tree in the Serengeti. Unfortunately, he/she had just killed the three cubs of a cheetah who was not far away, staring forlornly at the tree.
