The name says it all. Taken many years ago as my first attempt at doing long exposures at the ocean. The sunset was magnificent.

I enjoyed finding this long-legged wader in the wetlands of Lake Macatawa yesterday, hidden back in these long grasses.
Art in nature, a flower with big ears ;-))
I forgot to make a shot when it was in full bloom. This year there were no flowers at all, due to the heavy rain…... maybe next year, we'll see.
Have a nice start of your weekend everyone!
The desert agave has such huge blossoms and Hummingbirds are so small. I wanted to get this shot, so I hid in the shadows hoping a Hummer would stop by. My hopes were realized.

Amsterdam Light Festival - According to the artists of the collective Uxu Studio, there’s nothing that symbolises disruption – and destruction, war, and aggression – more than a bomb. Their blue-lit bomb BIG BANG hangs somewhat threateningly in the air like it is just about to hit the water (or maybe even a passing boat).

Charlie loves being a big brother as you can obviously see.
This is Tex with him. He is the kitten Charlie picked as his own, although at times I think he regrets that decision as Tex is by far the naughtiest.
Charlie really does miss Squirty, despite having the tabby boys. It seems to me that Charlie considers the tabby's as kids but Squrity was his best friend, his mate and he misses having his mate around.

The Big Buddha is a large bronze sculpture of Buddha, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, near Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
The sculpture's base is a model of the one in the United Kingdom. One of the five large Buddha images in China, it is enthroned on a lotus on top of a three-platform altar. Surrounding it are six smaller bronze images known as "The Offering of the Six Devas" that are posed offering flowers, incense, lamp, ointment, fruit, and music to the Buddha, representing the Six Perfections of generosity, morality, patience, zeal, meditation, and wisdom, necessary for Enlightenment in life.
The 34 m (112 ft) tall image weighs over 250 metric tons (280 short tons), and was constructed from 202 bronze pieces. In addition to the exterior components, there is a strong steel framework inside to support the heavy load. Visitors have to climb 268 steps to reach the Buddha. The Buddha's right hand is raised, representing the removal of affliction, while the left rests open on his lap in a gesture of generosity.
