Stagecoach 18484 LX55 BEY calls at the Romford station stop working route 5. Friday 5th February 2016. DSCN35758.
Displaced from Catford its last working from that garage was school route 621 on the morning of 1st February 2016. Transferred to Barking, its first working was on route 5 during the afternoon of 2nd February 2016. The displacement from Catford came about by the arrival of new Volvo B5LH MMC's for route 47. Note that the bus still carries TL garage code.

Firdevs Bey Camii
Isparta şehir merkezinde bulunan Firdevs Bey Camii ve Bedesteni 1561 tarihli yapılar. Cami, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman döneminde, Isparta Valisi Firdevs Paşa tarafından yaptırılmış. Kare planlı ve tek kubbeli olan cami, kuzeyde beş kubbeli bir son cemaat yeri ile kuzeybatı köşesinde bir minareye sahip. Mimar Sinan Camii olarak da anılan yapının bir Mimar Sinan eseri olup olmadığı hala tartılışır bir durum. Caminin yapıldığı dönemde hemen yakınında yapılan Bedesten camiye gelir getirmesi amacı ile yaptırılmış...

Sky was clear on that morning to have some memorable views of Killer Mountain. We trekked to Beyal Camp but before we reach there, clouds started to cover the top. This was the shot before it was fully covered with clouds.
Tahtali auch Olimpos genannt ---- Der Tahtalı (2366 m[1], gesprochen Tàchtale) ist ein Berg in der Nähe von Kemer, einem Badeort an der Türkischen Riviera in der Nähe von Antalya. Der Tahtalı beherrscht die Landschaft rund um Kemer. Zwischen Antalya und der Finikebucht kann man ihn als dominierenden Gipfel des Gebirgszugs Bey Dağları (türk. Herren-Berge) sehen, einem Teil des sich durch den gesamten Süden der Türkei ziehenden Taurusgebirges. Seine unmittelbare Nähe zur Küste des Mittelmeeres macht ihn für Seefahrer weit sichtbar. Er ist der höchste Berg im Naturpark Olimpos-Beydağları-Milli-Park. Von November bis oft in den Juni hinein ist der Gipfel mit Eis und Schnee bedeckt. Im Frühjahr wird diese Schneeschicht oft durch heranwehende feinstaubige Saharawinde rötlichbraun eingefärbt, während er im Sommer wegen der Wolken häufig nicht zu sehen ist. Die vegetationsfreie Zone beginnt in etwa 1900 Meter Höhe. Der Anstieg auf den Gipfel ist u.a. von Beycik aus möglich.
Am Fuße des Berges verläuft der lykische Fernwanderweg Fethiye – Antalya.
In der Antike wurde der Berg Olimpos genannt, also der Sitz der Götter. Diesen Namen musste er sich mit vielen anderen hohen Bergen teilen. Der Name Olimpos wurde auch von der in der Nähe bei Çıralı liegenden gleichnamigen antiken Stadt übernommen.
Bei Olympos findet man die Chimaera, ein noch heute abbrennendes unterirdisches Gasfeld, das in der Antike wesentlich kräftiger brannte als heute. Auch die Ruinen der antiken Stadt Phaselis liegen am Fuß des Tahtalı.
Der heutige türkische Name könnte sich aus tahta (türk.: Holztafel, Holzbrett) herleiten. Wahrscheinlicher ist jedoch die Ableitung vom türkischen Taht (türk.: Thron (Olympos – Thron der Götter)).
Die Luftseilbahn Olympos Teleferik, eine türkisch-schweizerische Kooperation, fährt seit dem 16. Juni 2007 zum Gipfel des Tahtalı auf 2365 m. Ihre durch eine Straße erschlossene Talstation liegt in etwa 10 km Entfernung von Tekirova oder von Çamyuva in einer Höhe von 726 m am östlichen Hang des Berges (♁36° 32′ 33″ N, 30° 29′ 11″ O). Mit einer Streckenlänge von 4350 m ist die Olympos Teleferik zwar eine der längeren Pendelbahnen, aber, anders als auf der Website des Betreibers behauptet, keineswegs die längste Luftseilbahn der Welt.[2] Gebaut wurde die Bahn von der Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group, einem der führenden Unternehmen zur Planung und Herstellung von Seilbahnen.
Für den Bau der Seilbahn wurde zunächst eine Materialseilbahn gebaut. Mit dieser wurden etwa 3700 m³ Beton, 4500 m³ Wasser, 420 t Stahl und 8600 t Kies zur Bergstation und zu den Streckenbauten transportiert.
Die beiden je 80 Personen fassenden Kabinen überwinden die Höhendifferenz von 1639 m in 10 Minuten. Sie fahren an zwei Tragseilen mit einem Durchmesser von 51 mm und werden von einem Zugseil mit einem Durchmesser von 38 mm gezogen. Die Seiltrasse läuft über vier Seilbahnstützen. Mit einer maximalen Geschwindigkeit von 10 m/s (36 km/h) erreicht die Pendelbahn eine Förderleistung von 470 Personen pro Stunde. Der Antrieb leistet 1000 kW. --------------------------------- Sorry, but I did not find any info in english.... :-(
In an rare and spectacular moment after 4 years of restoration Lachlan Valley Railways Baldwin built 5917 teamed up with SMR 18 to run 8S01 Blue Zephyr train to Neath for the 160th celebration of Howden Engineering, shown here smashing up the grade at Gilleston Heights.
Not only was this the first appearance of a 59 class on the Cessnock branch but also double heading with an SMR class.

Zeynel Bey Türbesi - Hasankeyf
Batman'ın Hasankeyf ilçesinde bulunuyor bu muhteşem yapıt. Akkoyunlular dönemine ait olan eserin Zeynel Bey için yaptırıldığı biliniyor. Kesin yapım tarihine dair bil bilgi yok. Ancak Zeynel Bey'in Akkoyunlularla, Osmanlılar arasında gerçekleşen Otlukbeli Savaşında yani 1473 yılında şehit düştüğü düşünülürse Türbenin bu tarihten sonra yapılmış olması gerekiyor...

This is a photo of NSW Beyer Garratt 6029 on its last run, though that was not known at the time.
The loco is of the 4-8-4+-4-8-4 wheel arrangement and weighs 263 tons in running order. It is currently undergoing restoration to running order in Canberra ACT ( Australia).
Earlier in the morning the photo was taken it climbed a long 1 in 75 grade at a steady speed of 37.5 mph with its load of 440 tons.
On the same section with the latest diesel 2000HP electric locomotives three years earlier on the fastest train ( The Intercapital Daylight Express) the speed with a trailing load of 348 tons was 36 mph.
Until the introduction of some high power diesel electric units twenty years later, the AD 60 class was the most powerful non-electric locomotive in Australia.
The scene above was a crisp winter's morning in June 1981 as 6029 was nearing the end of a three day journey through the central and south west of NSW.

Staying with the early 1950's when the railway was slowly declining towards the end in 1956. Now having passed into British Railways hands, a grubby 822 The Earl on the morning goods train from Welshpool to Llanfair Caerinion having crossed the Afon Banwy now swings round towards Heniarth Halt.
