We saw a lot of these beautiful birds during the Delaware Bird-a-Thon, but this one gave me the best looks I've had in a long time.
I've been fortunate to take some of my best photos so far this year, and have accomplished lots of photography goals as well. Here are some of my best work of 2021 in landscape orientation. Thanks for all the support and attention to my work this year. Happy new year everyone!

I got 4th place on DPC's Best of 2006 challenge with this one. That's great because there were over 700 entries. I'm thrilled¨:D
There's hardly any room for humans on our sofa since Henry and Ray have taken a liking to the furry cover on our sofa. It has not always been love, peace and harmony between Henry and Ray or the other cats. Ray is not yet aware that Henry has snuggled up to him.
And the award for the best supporting act goes to........
37716 and 37422 outside York Thrall (Holgate) during the evening on Sat 16th December 2023.
These are 2 out of a total of 5 Class 37’s that were included in the line up, following the end of the locomotives use on the 2023 railhead treatment trains based at York. I feel a bit mean referring to these 2 as a mere supporting act. They were of course much more than that, although it's probably fair to say that the majority of attention went the way of the other 3.
The photo shoot was organised by the well respected Network Rail Director Chris Gee, and involved a huge amount of detailed preparation and organisation amongst both DRS and Network Rail, as well as numerous individuals. It was a great success and all of the proceeds raised (£3,000.00) will be donated to Martin House Hospice.
These are the montages and multiple exposures I'm most pleased with.
Left to right, top to bottom: Valentine's Day, 14 February; Paired, 28 March; Duet, 23 May; Bubbles, 20 June; Binary, 10 October; Food related, 21 November.
