One can easy associate the cars in the picture with casino visitors, although it might be somewhat early on this day in 1983 for such things. The lady with the shopping bag just takes the tram.

The tram set on route 5 is of the Swiss standard type, to be precise the second batch from 1960-'61, manufactured by Schlieren. They could be easy distinguished from the first batch from 1947-'48 by their windows fitted in rubber with small ventilation windows, in contrast to their predecessors with one-peace windows sliding down behind the panelling

You probably know this spot by now 😁 - the last shot from here was just one month ago. But I couldn't help but get out of the bus and walk back a bit until I was standing in the middle of the Kornhausbrücke in Bern, after I saw this lovely early morning sky. It's a bit past sunrise, but early enough for a really low sun.

You see some of the alps in the back, half obscured by clouds. And of course, as usual, the Münster (right), the St. Peter and Paul church (left) and the roof of the Rathaus (just left of the lefthand church). I also like the scaffolding on one of the roofs, and the chimneys.

The clouds started to light up while I was walking back to my hotel room, one evening in Bern, Switzerland. I remember thinking how dark it is in this canyon of buildings, while the sky was putting on a light show.
