The trees are liquidambar (sweet gum), a very common street tree in Berkeley. It has pretty fall color, even if it drops many pods.
This attractive gazebo is located in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, one of the landmarks in Berkeley Springs State Park. People have used the mineral springs at the location for centuries, and it became part of the state park system in 1970. Information from the town's website.

NS’s Berkeley Yard is not anywhere near as much as it was when ford was here, now the yard is used for storage and only 2 or 3 industries are served. The Sign Hasn’t Been Changed Since The Ford Plant shut down.
Surprise find in a Norfolk village from a few years ago. Streetview suggests it was still there in 2008, I haven't been there recently so can't say whether it's still there getting more engulfed by the brambles.

Once upon a time, this city park in Berkeley had a long concrete slide for the kiddies to play on. It worked best if you had a piece of sort of cardboard to rids on. At some point -- perhaps after the appearance of a litigious parent -- this slide and another in a park in the hills -- the city deemed this activity more dangerous than fun. To make sure that the old slide couldn't be used, the city built these concrete ... planters, I guess ... in its place.

I was recently very kindly given a disc of old car show photos from the mid to late 70's which were found on glass slides in a skip and then scanned to disc, i thought i'd uploaded them to here, there are over 1100 images so it could take me a while!
Berkeley of Paulton purchased this Volvo B12B Plaxton Panther new back in 2005. WX05 YTT was seen in Wells on 9th July, 2019.

The Berkeley Pier is a pier in Berkeley, California. When constructed, the pier extended 3.5 miles (5.6 km) into San Francisco Bay from the end of University Avenue. Due to extensive filling of the bay and the creation of the Berkeley Marina, it presently extends only 2.5 miles (4.1 km). Currently, only the first 3000 ft (0.9 km) are maintained and open to the public.
