King 16 (bottom right) is a trumpler class II 3 p open cluster located approximately 7,175 light-years away.

July 4th fireworks at the Berkeley marina as seen from the UC Berkeley firetrails near Memorial Stadium. A composite image assembled from exposures taken with an intervalometer over the duration of the display.
It was quite foggy as is typical in the bay so that is the cause of the brown soup in the distance.
Berkeley California. Where the hippies and intellectuals are up on the hill and the bums and rotting industries are near the water....and highways and railroads. A San Joaquin from Bakersfield is zipping west through town on the former SP Cal-P in the early afternoon.

PN K 3-57 (PN G072.1+00.1, PK 072+00 1 and others) is a planetary below center near the left edge of the image. This one looks like an odd-colored, blobby star.

Berkeley is a town and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England. It lies in the Vale of Berkeley between the east bank of the River Severn and the M5 motorway within the Stroud administrative district. The town is noted for Berkeley Castle where the imprisoned Edward II was murdered.
I've been looking for this lineup location for about a year. It took me a long time to find it because of the eucalyptus trees in the way! While I'd like a clear view of the Campanile and the San Francisco skyline, I also like the interesting silhouettes of the eucalyptus trees.
It's been HOT here in Berkeley - I think it's 90 degrees today. These hot days make for beautiful balmy evenings, though. I love the Bay Area's indian summer!
