Berkeley campus neared its end, I dragged us into the Cal bookstore for a souvenir. I got a t-shirt -- it says "Berkeley," not "Cal" -- but because I couldn't get it in a "tall" size (which I need) it didn't fit right.
Rasputin Music, the largest independent chain of record stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, was founded as Rasputin Records in 1971 by Berkeley entrepreneur, Ken Sarachan. There are currently seven operating locations around the Bay Area, including the flagship Berkeley store, which was originally located at 2340 Telegraph avenue and relocated across the street to 2401 Telegraph Avenue after Odyssey Records went out of business.

Sproul Hall was built iln 1941 as the administrative center for University of California, Berkeley. It was named for Robert Gordon Sproul, who was president of the university at the time.

Day 124 of 2015. As this project progresses, I'm really learning how to see it as an opportunity rather than a burden. I had a productive, happy day, but I was mostly indoors, and didn't really have any photo opportunities. So I made an excuse to check out the Berkeley Pier in the evening to see if any photo opportunities presented themselves. I got treated to this view of San Francisco and the new span of the Bay Bridge just starting to light up, with wisps of fog and the last remaining streaks of daylight fading away to the west.

Berkeley Public Library, Berkeley, California
The library was built between 1931 and 1934 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is also a Berkeley Landmark.

Berkeley Cars developed a range of lightweight sportscars (in both 3 and 4-wheel variants) and caravans, at their Hitchin Street factory.
