Having appeared on the Berkley flasks late last year, lo and behold they turned up again ! N.Belle pairing of 57305 and 57312 are captured at Churchdown with 6M56 to Crewe. It was rumoured that this was to be the last Berkeley working which thankfully has not proved to be the case. 7th January 2016.

Berkeley 62 is a trumpler (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trumpler_classification) class III 2 p open cluster approximately 6,700 light-years away in Cassiopeia.
Luminance – 21x300s – binned 1x1 – 105 minutes
RGB – 8x180s – 24 minutes each – binned 2x2
177 minutes total exposure – 2 hours 57 minutes
Imaged October 31st and November 10th and 11th, 2022 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
Nary a PHD was seen this early morning at the marina. Nice pre-dawn colors with rain on me at the same time?
A tour of the Berkeley Microfabrication lab, which is normally not opened to the public nor students in Berkeley. Bill had a chance to go into the Class 100 (100 particles in one cubic feet) clean room. Bill dressed up in casual bunny suit too.
Berkeley microlab has very expensive instruments in there. Even the windows are specially tinted.
Berkeley 71 is a trumpler (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trumpler_classification) class IV 2 p open cluster located approximately 12,700 light-years away in Auriga. This one is heavily obscured with IFN. The thickest clouds are cataloged in the Planck Galactic Cold Clump (PGCC) catalog - www.aanda.org/articles/aa/pdf/2016/10/aa25819-15.pdf.
Luminance – 24x300s – binned 1x1 – 120 minutes
RGB – 8x180s – 24 minutes each – binned 2x2
182 minutes total exposure – 3 hours 2 minutes
