A Vinnie Garoon Cowboy Bead(black oxide pewter) from Schmuckatelli Co., paracord pocket knife fob, with a diamond/lanyard/boatswain's whistle knot, and a gaucho knot tied with 0.9mm cord around the end strands. Attached to my Spyderco Salt I serrated edge pocket knife.

Having the right gear isn't always about lenses and tripods! Just a minute prior to this photo this area was completely mobbed with tourists, but then a driving rain sprung up and everyone ran for cover - everyone, that is, except for these young ladies who came prepared for the weather (with Flickr colored umbrellas no less!) and were rewarded with a nice unobstructed view of the Taj Mahal.
I used 0.9mm cord to tie a few Gaucho knots in the finger grooves of this tactical self-defense pen.
The knots are slightly raised above the surface of the pen, so the grip is good should the need to use it defensively ever arrive...
This walking cane didn't have a wrist lanyard attachment, so I made a lanyard for it with a single strand star knot with adjustable wrist loop, and finished with a Gaucho knot, using about 6.5 feet of a single length of paracord.

An Old Hickory brand knife with kydex sheath from friend, Paul Granger, that I added a long two-bight Turk's head knot to, using black paracord, then worked in some black/tan combo(Knights?) into the loose TH knot before tightening. stormdrane.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-sheath-lanyard-pro...
JD of Tying It All Together shows how to tie the 'spindle fiber bar' in his new book, 'Paracord Fusion Ties - Volume 1'. He demonstrates tying a two color paracord bracelet with a knot and loop closure.
I used a single strand of paracord, starting with a 10 ft length which was more than I needed for an 8.5" wrist size, adding a 5/8" side release buckle for the watchband.
A few single strand lanyard knots from 'The Ashley Book of Knots', ABoK #s 582, 583, 584, 585, and 586.
Front and back sides of the knots are shown in the photo, so you can see that they do differ.

I used black 0.9mm cord to do the Sailmaker's Whipping, also called palm and needle whipping, around the 3/8" twisted rope, to help prevent fraying.

Titan Paracord sent me a hank of their 'patent pending' paracord to evaluate.
Beyond the seven 3-strand twisted core, it also contains fishing monofilament line, waxed jute(firestarting), and 30 gauge copper wire(snares).

“There is a part in the movie where that guy says, "Zombies? What zombies?" just before they eat his brains. I don't want to be that guy.”
― Holly Black
"Ernie Kaltenbrunner: What the hell are in those bags?
Burt Wilson: ...Rabid weasels.
Ernie Kaltenbrunner: What? What the hell are you doing with a bunch of rabid weasels?
Burt Wilson: That's what I was trying to explain to you here, Ernie; they came in as part of a shipment. Of course, they weren't supposed to be rabid."

Had a leftover piece of gutted copper colored paracord, so I used it to add a three pass Gaucho knot to my 'The Larry' LED flashlight.

This 'Star Grommet' was tied following directions from Stuart Grainger's book, 'Creative Ropecraft'.
The knot starts off as the 'Drummer Boys Plait', then wrapped around a cylinder with one end worked into the other, then doubling the knot. I used the cap of a 2 liter soda bottle as a mandrel for tying this one.
I may use it as a thumb/finger hole on a lanyard for retention, as I've done before with spool knit paracord lanyards in the past. It looks nice as is for a key chain fob or necklace pendant...

I added a paracord retention loop the the sheath of my Mora HighQ Robust fixed blade knife. The knife stays in the sheath by friction well enough, but the added loop adds peace of mind that it will stay there until needed... ;)
I used a two-strand Matthew Walker knot, with an added turn, to secure the loop.

County Comm sent me a couple of these pocket screwdrivers and I added a bit of knot work to each.

See the first photo of my Bug Out Bag.
These are the new additions to my Bug Out Bag, or emergency preparedness and survival kit.
I went to work on Wednesday and I had four packages waiting for me.
Campmor shipped the following order in just 2 days (thanks!):
-Campmor brand rain poncho in blue
-Princetec Quad headlamp - 4xLEDs, can run on lithium AAA batteries; waterproof to 10 feet;
-Suunto basic compass
-Storm Whistle - world's loudest whistle, also works underwater;
-Glow sticks - a pack of 25; I tested the light duration to be greater than 6 hours;
-Paracord with 550 pounds of tensile strength - 3 hanks of 50 feet each
I've budgeted $150 this year for Bug Out Bag expansion. Next up: Food, knife and radio.
I used about 15 feet of tan 1.4mm braided nylon cord, to tie a long 4 bight turks head knot(45L4B), over a doubled up 3 foot length of coyote tan paracord. The paracord is attached to a swivel clip with a cat's paw knot at one end, and a small split ring secured by snake knots at the other end.
The stainless steel rigging knife has a marlin spike, blade, screwdriver, lanyard loop/bail, and shackle key.
I tied these gutted paracord fan knots following Mabel Marble's 5 lead 9 bight fan knot tutorial: www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9VFVXGXrw0

Here's the star knot used with a fixed blade knife(Model 13 by Paul Granger-Pale Horse Fighters). The lanyard loop can be closed up against the knife, to help prevent snagging on brush when hiking, opened up for use as a wrist lanyard, or worn with thumb and loop across the back of the hand secure type method...
Used 0.9mm cord to add West Country whipping after the lanyard knot on my Jetbeam C-LE LED flashlight.
I bought this light in 2007 and it still works fine, although the twist action with the head to turn on/off and switch modes is on the stiff side. I prefer the later version(which I have) with the tailcap clickie, since the twistie version is hard to operate one-handed especially when my hands are bothering me...

An 18" long paracord and guacho bead lanyard, loop on one end, swivel snap hook on the other. The beads are tied with 1.4mm cord and spaced between series of two strand wall knots...
The knots are tied around the sheath and handle of a neck knife. I uploaded a video tutorial for tying the Gaucho knot, and hopefully it's not too hard for the viewer to follow.
