The Brass Split Pea Lighter is from County Comm.
countycomm.com/brasslighter.html
I used around 10 feet of 0.9mm braided nylon cord and an o-ring to make the hitched pouch/cover.
The o-ring is slightly smaller in diameter than the lighter, so it stretches to go on/off the lighter, shown attached to my jacket's zipper pull, next to a Photon LED light for size reference.
Gaucho knots from 7 lead 6 bight Turk's heads, Spanish ring knots, and a center Gaucho knot from a 5 lead 4 bight knot.
I started with just two strands, one black and one white of 0.9mm cord, working each of the knots from left to right, but the final large Gaucho ended up a bit uneven after tightening, so I cut it off and properly retied another...
Orange flavored EDC pocket dump for this Sunday afternoon. I wanted to go to the Blade Show this weekend, but having no money meant staying home and missing out on upgrading to some cool new EDC knives, multitools and whatnot. Maybe next year...

I found this embroidered piece at an Antique Mall. "Be Prepared" is the Boy Scout Motto, but the green material suggests Girl Scouts. If you know what organization this represents, leave me a comment!

Knot used on this paracord pocket knife lanyard/fob are a couple of two-strand stopper knots, found in 'The Ashley Book of Knots' as #778. The cross shield bead came from ebay. Knife is a Spyderco Salt I.
Paracord integrated with a boonie hat using a chain sinnet. The paracord can be quickly removed if the cord is needed.
I put uploaded a video to YouTube, Instructables, and posted to my blog page.
Great British Car Journey Museum
An interactive journey celebrating an era when British entrepreneurs and engineers were at the forefront of a transport revolution.
Herbert Austin and William Morris were the leaders of that revolution. They put the working population behind the wheel and gave us the freedom of mobility which we now take for granted.
This is the story of British industry which, in its heyday, was a worldwide force with products that were exported to all corners of the world. The story of a bygone era when, for half a century, British cars "ruled the road".
The journey starts in the early 1920s when the working family could only dream of owning a car and ends in the early years of the new millennium when most of Britain's great car factories fall silent.
The museum features over 140 British Classic cars, from the legendary Austin 7 to the magnificent Mini.
Many of these cars are now incredibly rare, and the museum searched for several years for superb examples to display.

I always go thru my kit every other month to replenish items I used and to check the dates and rotate medicine out! I use this in my Jeep but when I need it, I can easily carry it with me in my BOB.

I used gutted paracord for the herringbone knot, tightened over a wooden bead on the lanyard/fob with doubled two-strand wall knots.
The herringbone pattern/pineapple Turk's head knot variations have the 'V' or chevron pattern running vertically up/down towards the top and bottom ends of the knot, where the gaucho pattern has them running horizontally around the knot.
My Spyderco Salt I shown with the lanyard/fob, propped up with a wood ball behind the trademark Spyderco thumb hole.
I followed JD's TyingItAllTogether(TIAT) YouTube video tutorial to learn the 'Surreral Solomon Bar' pattern, but used a single 10 foot long strand of paracord to tie the watchband, instead of the two colors and knot/loop closure of the paracord bracelet JD demonstrates in the video.
I didn't have $ to buy any of the cool knives I saw at the Blade Show last weekend, but didn't leave empty handed. Some friends I met up with at the show gifted me a few sharp objects, and I've already started adding some knot to to some of them, like this Boker Magnum auto/flick knife.
I tied a loop of glow-in-the-dark paracord with an extended two-strand Matthew Walker knot and tied a gaucho knot around a wooden bead with some gutted crimson paracord.

A limited edition Victorinox Harvester Swiss Army Knife with chocolate brown alox scales (SwissBianco ~ 2016), with a short leather fob and 3 pass gaucho interweave knot of 1.4mm cord over a wooden bead. Also shown is my seven year old Fenix E15 LED flashlight (1xCr123A).
An Old Hickory brand knife with kydex sheath from friend, Paul Granger, that I added a long two-bight Turk's head knot to, using black paracord, then worked in some black/tan combo(Knights?) into the loose TH knot before tightening. stormdrane.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-sheath-lanyard-pro...
6 lead 5 bight Turk's Head knot on a key with 1.4mm cord. I first put a strip of x-treme tape around the key, to keep the knot from sliding off.
I used about 16 feet of paracord, a single continuous strand, in the handle wrap, consisting of Spanish/woven ring knots with coiled cord between each of those knots, creating the finger grips. More info in my blog post: stormdrane.blogspot.com/2014/07/bat-light-with-paracord-h...
A single strand paracord star knot used as a lanyard/fob for a key chain, but would also add grip/retention to a small pocket knife, flashlight, or other assorted gadgets/gear.
Used white 0.9mm cord for the Spanish ring knot, spiral hitching, and long 4 bight Turk's head knot, around the Pentel R.S.V.P. pen's ink cartridge, then tucked it back inside the pen.
Knotted cross lanyard/fob. This was made with about seven feet of 1.4mm braided nylon cord and I added three small crimp beads. King cobra/doubled Solomon bar/Portuguese sinnet used for the top section of the lanyard/fob, and six lanyard knots for the vertical section of the cross, then using a separate couple of feet of cord for the four horizontal knots of the cross.
I had a couple of feet of leather lace left, so I tied a couple of single pass five lead four bight(5L4B) turks head knots, tightened over wooden beads. They slide along the paracord loop for adjustment,
After watching the tragedic events unfolding in Japan, over the last three days, Rusty was compelled to check our Emergency Kit. Looking inside it she could see water, matches, a manual can opener, wind-up radio, landline phone, a thermal blanket, First Aid supplies, a flashlight, garbage bags, eye glasses, a whistle and candles ... but NO TREATS!
We both had the same thought: Get a bigger Emergency Kit!

County Comm Navigator Compass on a velcro wrist strap from a Suunto Clipper compass, 4 bight Turk's head knot with 0.9mm cord on the Brass Flint Wheel Striker, Wenger S13 pocket knife with paracord firesteel fob, and a Brunton compass on paracord neck lanyard...
I tied this watchband following JD's(TIAT) video tutorial for the pattern, but using a single strand of paracord and a side release buckle instead of a knot and loop for the closure.
Snap hook/swivel clip on one end, four strand round braid, looped around key ring, crown sinnet back up around braid, wall/crown knot to finish.
Today was the Hannah Montana concert. Rowan was up and ready to go about 4 hours before it was time to leave and spent all sorts of time nearly bouncing off the walls (thank goodness a new magazine came in the mail today to keep her somewhat entertained). I, meanwhile, was more concerned with getting through the afternoon with hearing intact.
All in all, the concert really wasn't as bad as I'd feared. I wouldn't put Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana or the Jonas Brothers among my own mix of music, but as far as teen acts go, they really weren't bad. And our seats were *awesome* - we were on the floor, in row S, but they must skip lots of letters because we couldn't have been more than 13 back from the front row, and only 3 back from where the end of the "runway" part of the stage jutting out ended, and just a little to the right. So whenever any of the performers came to the edge of the stage, they were *right there*.
The only thing that really annoyed me is they make a big deal about the no recording devices or cameras rules on the tickets, envelopes, in person, etc. Yet everyone there had a camera. I would've brought mine in if I realized they weren't going to care - I even saw security officers pause to let someone finish snapping a picture before walking in front of them. Grr. So I've no pictures of during the concert (that probably would've been my 365 Days photo, "in which I am surrounded by screaming preteens and parents" I'm sure).
Anyhow, memorable day, and I'm happy to report I walked out able to hear, yay silicon globs in the ears!

Knot #787 in 'The Ashley Book of Knots', I usually refer to it as a lanyard/diamond knot, although 'lanyard knot' is a generic term since there are many different lanyard knots.
Here's a description quote of #787 from page 141 of the ABoK, "The Sailor's Knife Lanyard Knot, also called Marlingspike Lanyard Knot, Single-Strand Diamond Knot, Two-Strand Diamond Knot, and Bosun's Whistle Knot.".
