The Old South Meeting House, where the Boston Tea Party began, in Boston, MA

I had the best time following BFC around shading him with my umbrella.

Every few weeks my dad, my brother, and I will drag ourselves out of the confines of our house and bop around the City of Brotherly Love. One of our trips took us to the graveyard where Benjamin Franklin is buried. It was a really beautiful place and I'm glad we went there instead of one of our usual places.

In the courtyard, waiting for the start of the tour.

Benjamin Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.

Little Franky Franklin? Seriously. That makes me giggle and think of Jimmy James from the TV Show NewsRadio.

This was the view from our hotel room which is directly behind the Christ Church Burial Ground, Philadelphia, PA. I wish we could have walked around the cemetery but time didn't permit. Among other signers of the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Franklin is buried here as well.

January 17, 2006 is the 300th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Frnklin.

The Old Granary Burial Ground.

Benjamin's not in this tomb. As a kid he moved to Philadelphia, and that's where he's buried.

A statue of old Benjamin Franklin guards the front entry of the college but it's weird that he's so.... well, gray... ... ah, that explains it. Mr. Franklin has been painted... multiple times... and VERY sloppily at that. Perhaps a response to vandalism but in any case it leaves him looking like one of Madame Trousseau's when the A/C has gone out.
