A memorial to Benjamin Franklin by artist Isamu Noguchi located in downtown Philadelphia. Other than lightning, I probably couldn't have asked for better weather for this shot.
The Benjamin Franklin Bridge (also known as the Ben Franklin Bridge), originally named the Delaware River Bridge, is a suspension bridge across the Delaware River connecting Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey. Named for American statesman Benjamin Franklin, the bridge is owned and operated by the Delaware River Port Authority. The chief engineer was Polish-born Ralph Modjeski, its design engineer was Leon Moisseiff, and the supervising architect was Paul Philippe Cret. At its completion on July 1, 1926, its 533-metre span made it the world's longest suspension bridge span, a distinction it would hold until the opening of the Ambassador Bridge in 1929.

The Benjamin Franklin Monument on Camp Street in New Orleans is a bronze statue of the famous American statesman, inventor, and diplomat, who was also one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. The statue was sculpted by Hiram Powers, a renowned American neoclassical artist, and was unveiled in 1872. It is located in Lafayette Square, a historic park in the Central Business District, near the former City Hall of New Orleans, now known as Gallier Hall.
The statue was a gift from the School Board of New Orleans, who wanted to honor Franklin’s contributions to education, science, and civic life. Franklin was also a prominent supporter of the French-American alliance during the American Revolution, and a friend of the Marquis de Lafayette, after whom the park is named.
