When it rains in Vancouver areas, it really rains and walking can be treacherous. Puddles are everywhere and i some places water runs like small rivers along our hilly streets

It was so cold this day out shooting and it fascinated me that some lady you can see her in black walked out as far as she could on the slippery walk and took some pictures of the lighthouse. The lady in black!
Old and very well used
Has seen lots
And heard lots
Been in some shitty weather
And lots of lovely weather
Does it need some maintenance?
Probably
We can't tell the bench that you have to do that on your own
Some things needs to be taken care of
Old and worn out
Just like what we are going to feel and maybe feeling already
We need to be taken care of, but we also have the privilege to take care of ourselves
Lucky us
Maintaining is important, but all in balance

Along the nature trail around Spooner Lake - Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park.
There are several benches on the nature trail...this one has a view looking across Spooner Lake.
