A number of benches to sit down and enjoy the fall at the Garden Society of Gothenburg
This lovely curved chair graces the headland of Calfclose Bay, overlooking Derwentwater and Catbells.
The bench was placed there by the Keswick Lions Club to celebrate the 'year 2000' Millennium.

I feel very lucky to have caught this shot.
Spring time, foliage not yet so full that the light is blocked.
The sun still far enough south to create slanting light in the morning.
Quite a few lines point toward the bench.
A frame of darker foliage encircling the bench like a vignette.

The trees have been decorated with lights for the Halloween events at the Gardens. : )
Whenever I take the grandkids to their Junior School I can’t help but notice these lonely benches at the junction of Crown and Trent Streets., Worksop in Nottinghamshire. They are always empty! Put in a ridiculous position, in the middle of an estate of low income senior citizens bungalows, they never appear to have anyone sitting there!
The old people usually sit in their gardens and avoid these benches. This is not the sort of neighbourhood where people are apt to take walks either.
Why the planners stick the benches in odd places like this is mystifying! Maybe it looked good on the original plans?
A series of benches has appeared, all painted differently to reflect aspects of the town. This one is in and about the Market Place. I have taken it to include a reflection of the actual market stalls and their distinctive red and white awnings! It’s all to celebrate Newark Book month.
Benches at the Carmel Library courtyard. Library was not yet open.. normally a popular spot.

Happy Bench Monday ... thankfully this is not a scene we should be seeing anymore here in Baltimore for this season ... but you never know :)
We were told that by the summertime, the whole 17 Miles Drive of Monterey, will be full of these purple flowers. Wouldn't it be amazing to see?
The most eye-catching of the three benches in the grounds of St Rufus Church is bookended by carvings of Mr Gauld’s cherished black and yellow Labradors, Samson and Delilah.
