I loved Susanne's die cut poster with the letters and the animals. I do not have any die cut letters. So I stamped letters (Heidi Grace) and stamps animals (hero arts) and colored them in fwith pencils or a baby shower card.
Heaven is not somewhere above, rather inside deep in your soul. To get there you must work hard, real hard. -- Unknown
Another great moment from @adicarter's @redefiningbalance retreat. This photo shoot was an all nighter and some tempers did flare. Overall though the art we made was worth it. Long live Moab!!!
This card by Susanne has been a favourite of mine for a long time. April 2nd to be precise, the day Susanne uploaded it. I have lifted her design, just changed the background, stamps and added stitching. Thanks Susanne.

I love this card that Lucy made. It's so simple and sweet. Here is my distressed version. A little tribute to all the incredible inspirations Lucy brought me!!

EDITED: Sorry that I should have put this in the description at the beginning. The distress technique is from Jennifer McGuire's Thinking Inking class at 2Peas. Big thanks to Jennifer for the wonderful videos and great techniques!!
For this card I was inspired by Lucy's many butterfly creations. I have been waiting to use this HA # F5158 heart winged butterfly for the right card and challege so here it is. This is my first acetate card and it's not as "clean" as I like. Here is the card of Lucy's that I was drawing inspiration from.... www.flickr.com/photos/30551735@N05/3589655048/
So I thought I was doing someting special punching out a scalloped round then I realized that was not so and noticed this from Lucy www.flickr.com/photos/30551735@N05/3603867412/
for the butterfly I used added bling and sparkle then used glossy accents on the entire butterfly after I cut it out. My DD left 2 cherry stems by my computer so I thought humm...I'll use those so added them to the butterfly. The background is HA #S5215 and I used two different Versa colors inks. Memory box pearls. Thanks for looking off to the hospital again.
I was Inspired by Ashley M for this card...Love her cards and the animal ones she does! Here is the card that Inspired me....http://www.flickr.com/photos/cherryhilldesign/2396437222/
Thank You Ashley.....
I was inspired by this specific layout that Tiffany created: www.flickr.com/photos/myfairytalebook/3207994522/
I flipped the layout 180 degrees and used additional pictures instead of the tags. Journalling reads: "Outdoor and indoor 'photo shoots' at home on your 5th birthday. Here are a few of the better pictures."

DB Modern Lines

Thanks for the inspiration Tiffany!
The creative process is not like a situation where you get struck by a single lightning bolt. You have ongoing discoveries, and there's ongoing creative revelations. Yes, it's really helpful to be marching toward a specific destination, but, along the way, you must allow yourself room for your ideas to blossom, take root, and grow. -- Carlton Cuse
Acro, Lightning and Pellet Guns OH MY!!!
We decided that it would be fun to do some acro in the rain and lightning. One of my neighbors decided it would be fun to shot the people doing acro with pellet guns. She was shot in the butt and I was shot in the bicep. I guess adventure means different things to different people, and where they are on their path.
The shot turned out great, but not worth having one of my eyes taken out!!! And here we were worried that we might be hit by lightning.

Last night was the opening night of the Displacement group show which is taking place for the next week at 229 Clare Street near Bethnal Green tube. All the artists involved in the show had painted on Clare Street at some point before the show. As the area is slowly gentrifying we thought we'd go for a canvas version of the wall piece we painted before it disappears for good.
The canvas features a slightly overweight looking Ariel the mermaid. She does, in fact, look a bit like an American tourist with her Hawaiian shirt on but rest assured she's just trying to blend in whilst finding the secrets of the oversized land seals they call humans. She can't wait to say the spell to get rid of her human legs and get her fishy bottom half back so she can get back under the sea. It's better where it's wetter...

The Invitation
Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Indian elder
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with the pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life from God's presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver moon, "Yes!"
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done for the children.
It doesn't interest me who you are or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Reflecting back on my time spent with some amazing people out in Hawaii. Here is one moment during the time that I cherished being alone, making art and finding peace. Harman Arora
