Every year, we at Imperial College London showcase the best in science and arts. Our free public events feature interactive activities, performances and workshops. Overall, the festival saw more than 500 scientists get out of their labs and share the fun and fascination of their research with the public.

The Imperial Festival is a free celebration of science and research at the college. This year's Imperial Festival was held on 7-8 May 2016.

This was inspired by Lin and a piece of wrapping paper! When I saw the paper I had to think of Lin and wanted to trie to bring over the feeling. Hope I succeed in it. This is a first try. Hope I can build it out.The poppy is silver-embossed and than colored with water-paint.

Used:

F3045 Elegant Poppy.

H3414 Medium Harlequin Background.

Saying: Inky Antics

Inks: Ranger and Vivid.

Flowers, leaves, birds, pearls and lavender gingham = Lin! Stamped the Floating Leaf Pattern in VersaMark and embossed with lavender ep. The leaves are from the Be Yourself set. Birds are from the Holiday Doves and flowers made from the bg stamp Outline Flowers. Little pearl heart is from HA. Lin's cards are so feminine and soft. All I can do is be inspired, cannot duplicate!!

This card is inspired by Susanne Nilsson's www.flickr.com/photos/27197401@N08/3319353896/ I love the color combo and butterfly is my favourite motif.. Thank you for this Inspiration Susanne!

I am submitting this for the beinspired challenge! I love Lucy Englands style so much and enjoy her cards! I was inspired by her use of Labels one shaped cards and Heartwinged butterfly! I love how she stacks the butterflies to give dimension and creativity!

I also made these three cards for my nieces. My MIL asked me to make them cards for her to give them since she is so proud of them! At the elementary school they attend they have to learn several bible verses a month, and at the end of the year they have to recite them all! I was at a loss for a bit trying to figure out what to make them! Then I realized I had this stamp from the CL336 set and how perfect is that! Inside I stamped it with "your hard work paid off!" This stamp is so much more versatile than I thought! I went with colors that I thought a kindergarten, grade one and grade 4er would all enjoy and colors that are very summery! I can't wait to give it to my MIL and for my nieces to recieve them! I think they will love them!

Lin has made so many fantastic cards it's hard to pick out just one to work from. I love her use of colour and design and all the wonderful details she adds to her cards. When I was looking through Lin's photostream I came across this one www.flickr.com/photos/bearpaw14/3279741400/ which I think is absolutely adorable. So this is a card I made inspired by Lin. Thanks Lin.

This isn't a lift from a particular card by Jacqueline, but incorporates some of the elements I think stand out from her cards to me- the colour pink, pearls, shabby chic style, vintage elements

The background is distress inks, and I overstamped it using the watercolour distress ink technique to soften the look of the flourish.

Hero Arts designblock flourish, clear design scallop borders, meadow flowers.

Well I certainly gave it my all, SUSANNE!!

I love how you use pearls, so on the tree I added them and you have a great coloring technique......see, on the owl....I tried again! And you use HAPPY COLORS!

Of course I am ADDICTED to my CB (thank you Lu Family), I freehand cut the tree and heart, and HERO HILL! The owl is one of the owls from the "balancing owls" stamp!

Now here's my helpful hint, "first punch holes in the paper and 'set' your gems/pearls into the holes"...it just gives the embellie a nice "finished" look. Try it. Oh, I also used Liquid Pearls in white opal and COLORED with marker to match the cardstock. Thanks for looking. Love, Karen Can I just share a secret?? I AM NOT COMFORABLE WITH THIS CARD AT ALL!! HONESTLY......It's just not ME! I tried, Susanne.......you do SO MUCH BETTER!!

I was so inspired by Lucy and Jennifer's cards on Monday. I especially loved the kraft cardstock with the bright colors. This is my first attempt at one of those cards.

I loved Susanne's die cut poster with the letters and the animals. I do not have any die cut letters. So I stamped letters (Heidi Grace) and stamps animals (hero arts) and colored them in fwith pencils or a baby shower card.
