Storks nesting on electricity pylons in Spain
Their nests are often very large and may be used for many years. Some have been known to grow to over 2 m (6 ft) in diameter and about 3 m (10 ft) in depth. Storks were once thought to be monogamous, but this is only partially true. They may change mates after migrations, and may migrate without a mate. They tend to be attached to nests as much as partners.

I watched as one preened the other. This was a wonderful view of these superb birds showing the pair bonding behaviour.
The British #Monarchy is facing the biggest crisis in modern times. The #Epstein files have thrown new light onto the shamelessly corrupt behaviour of Andrew #MounbattenWindsor, but also raise serious questions about the monarchy and the collusion and silence of other royals.
MPs have tabled a House of Commons motion demanding the release of all palace documents relating to the Epstein scandal.

HOW LONG HAS CHARLES KNOWN ABOUT ANDREW AND EPSTEIN?
On Monday 9th Feb 2026, Charles Mountbatten-Windsor was heckled again, this time in #Clitheroe in Lancashire. The question was loud and clear for all to hear:
“How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?”
Following reports over the weekend that showed Andrew sharing confidential material with Epstein, www.republic.org.uk reported him to the police. Later that day #Republic also released a new Savanta poll showing support for the monarchy falling further, hitting just 45%, with a third preferring an elected head of state. www.republic.org.uk/poll_monarchy_support_falls_to_45
This was Republic driving the story, pushing journalists to ask questions about the monarchy and what Charles and William knew and when. The debate has been dominated by police investigation, falling support and public heckles.
ROYAL RESPONSES
On Monday evening, the palace said that Charles 'stood ready to support any police investigation'. William and Kate rehashed a two-line statement feigning concern for Epstein's victims, but mentioned no one by name.
This is the royals doing what they always do, misreading the situation and saying and doing as little as they think they can get away with.
WILLIAM AND EPSTEIN
This morning, it emerged that a close associate of William's, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, was apparently sending 'torture videos' to Epstein. Sulayem's company, DP World, donated £1 million to #Earthshot, William's pet project.

JOURNALISTS, POLICE AND POLITICIANS
What was most shocking about Charles being heckled on Monday wasn't the question being asked by a member of the public. It was that there weren't a dozen journalists there asking the same question.
Some journalists are now waking up to the need to challenge the royals. But so far it's still too little. Conservative and royalist commentators are also questioning whether the monarchy can survive, and have dismissed royal statements as too little, too late.
What's notably absent is any serious reaction from politicians. That has to change.
The police have also avoided looking too closely at allegations against the royals. That has to change, and I'm hoping that the new report to Thames Valley Police will make it impossible not to investigate.
The fresh allegations about sharing confidential information almost exactly mirror those against Peter Mandelson. So it's hard to see how they can turn a blind eye without advertising a very clear double standard.
In the meantime, Republic's lawyers, Michelman Robinson, are continuing the investigation into a possible private prosecution of Andrew relating to a slew of other accusations.

I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw these brave birds. With plenty of chance to fly away the crow decided not to, and just followed the cat along the wire fence!
