Stockport's - Safe4Summer.
The initiative is part of the Government’s mission to restore and strengthen local policing in communities and reduce or prevent anti-social behaviour (ASB). As part of this, there will be a greater visibility of Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers and partners as we work together across crime hot spot areas.

Assistant Chief Constable Matt Boyle, GMP’s lead for Local Policing, said: “Our neighbourhoods are negatively impacted by various crimes such as the illegal use of e-bikes, drug dealing and other ASB.
“As a force, it’s our mission to listen to our community’s concerns and take action where crime is committed. Our proactive approach to tackling neighbourhood crime has meant that since 2021, we’ve reduced burglary by a third and vehicle crime by a quarter, thanks to the dedication of our local neighbourhood teams, working closely with partners across the region.
“Over the summer months, they will be focusing on increasing engagement with our communities to listen and respond to their concerns. Residents and business owners will also see an increase in the visibility of officers and partners, as we work together to ensure a safe summer for all. This isn’t about trying to spoil people’s fun over the summer months, it is making sure everyone can enjoy themselves without feeling unsafe or being hurt.
“We welcome the Home Office initiative, which perfectly aligns to the neighbourhood policing model our force implemented locally two years ago. PROBLEM: We're all being encouraged to save energy - put the planet first. The advice includes 2 basic principles:
1. Have only 'A' rated appliances (fridges, washing machines, ovens etc)
2. Never leave electrical items on standby
This (camera phone) photo shows 2 new A rated Neff ovens. They both have digital clocks which always show when on standby. If you switch either oven off at the wall the clock has to be reset again before the appliance can be used as an oven.
SOLUTIONS: for the manufacturers...a. Don't require the user to input the time - gather it automatically (as some clocks and watches do). b. or remove the clock feature - it encourages bad behaviour c.In either case - enable the units to switch themselves off when not in use d. make the clocks run off a rechargeable battery which recharges when mains power is on.
and to the certifiers... e. Don't 'A' rate appliances which positively encourage the end user to keep the unit switched on when not in use.
This is the basic behavior that every student should follow in the classroom that they should not hide their study discussions when they are in the same group.
Strathspey, Scotland. Most of the time these individuals were foraging apart but after this greeting they continued to feed very amicable,nose to nose, for a few moments before again drifting apart. I can find no reference to mutual grooming in roe deer which tend to be considered solitary at least in areas were natural predators like lynx are present.

The white-fronted tern is the most common tern on the New Zealand coastline, at times occurring in flocks of many hundreds or even thousands of birds. It is mainly a marine species that is seldom found far from the coast. The name ‘white-fronted’ refers to the ‘frons’ or forehead, where a thin strip of white separates the black cap from the black bill. Most other ‘capped’ terns, including the black-fronted tern, have black caps that reach the bill when in breeding plumage. The scientific name striata refers to the finely-barred (striated) dorsal plumage of recently fledged white-fronted terns, as the original description and name was based on a juvenile bird painted by William Ellis, surgeon’s second mate on the Discovery, on Captain Cook’s third visit to New Zealand - www.nzbirdsonline.org.nz
