Tours were given during the ceremonial grand opening for Penn State Health Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

In our ongoing quest to make the barn loft the most cowboy-themed living space ever, we bought this cowhide. When we laid it down, Lucy became very nervous. You could see the little wheels turning, "Hmmm. Black and white animals who don't cut it are made into rugs around here."

After years of apathy about hunting critters (we actually had to set a mousetrap when a mouse got in our house because Lucy would sit in her bed and watch it run across the floor), Lucy has become "Super Terrier", scourge of varmints everywhere.

Apparently this is a courting behavior, where the males bring the females sticks for a nest. Taken at the Avian Cognition Lab at NAU.

Does your dog make a sad face when you leave for the office? I'd get him a friend, but he doesn't want to share his home with other animals.

You are invited to re-title and caption this shot as I am just here to capture and really not tuned in to the secret lives of squirrels.

I am very frustrated to be imprisoned in this extremely boring cage (aggressive yawning).

Bravery: Courageous behavior or character. As creative we are called to be brave. Learn some practical ways to be brave with your creative pursuits as Stephen shares examples from traditional design to automotive and creative projects that have made him and others brave.

What business does Stephen Tansley have talking at a Creative Mornings PHX? None! Which makes him perfect for the next topic on Bravery.

Stephen is passionate about everything that deals with great design and illustration. He’s not at peace unless he’s learning something new or creating something good. Stephen’s most recent role was as the Creative Director for the Rhino Agency. His creative projects continue at home as BluePencil Unlimited and now in his new role as Sr. Interactive Art Director for The Lavidge Company. Design & illustration, webcomics, branding & display programs, children’s books, environmental design and craft beer are to just name a few of the things he’s always working on in the background.

As the owner of a 1957 Type 1 Beetle he restored, he participates in the hobby and craft of the Vintage Car world. He will share why Bravery plays a huge part in the world of vintage auto restoration and kustom culture. Many vehicles will be on display and everyone is welcome to mingle with the autos to see why Bravery is at the core of this near lost art.

I've noticed that when 2 coots fight, the coots around them swim away while flashing the two white batches of feathers on their rump. Don't know why yet. It is not breeding season and both genders do this. Not sure if it is a sign of alarm, or appeasement. This is a close up of a coot leaving the scene of a fight while flashing the white.
