Billy gave me a small spotted scarlet begonia some years ago. It just can't be kept down -- it grows insistently. You know the kind -- dark green leaves on front, red on the back side, spots all over.
More newcomers to the garden. The garden centre brought us a selection of new plants including this begonia. It is certainly eye catching.
Polka Dot Begonia's leaves are so beautiful that it worth having one just to appreciate its silver dots... but the flowers are also so gorgeous and blooming for months, it really is a joy in our home.

It spreads by seed and detached pieces of stem.
